Why do they make many cars differnt in US? The Mitchubitchy Outlander and Nissan Qashqai(Or Dualis in US) Is different than in Norway, and these are pretty popular cars here.
@stonee206 The Nissan is called the Rogue in the US. :) And they're built differently to appease different markets. Also different countries have different safety regulations and automakers have to adjust their cars in order to meet them.
People have a false impression of safety in an SUV. We all know by now that they tip over VERY easily. In fact, just a couple weeks ago I saw an older Dodge Stratus t-bone a Ford Expedition and flipped it on it's roof in the ditch. A few years ago I saw an older Nissan Maxima t-bone an Explorer and sat it on it's roof. I like sitting up high, but not at the expense of my safety.
saturn's suvs were one of the safiest produced in 2008, why didnt they test those?

How do they afford to crash all there cars ?
NiCkIhAiO 2 years ago
because, the automakers send them in to be tested to be approved by highway safety so they can sell them. they pay nothing
