  • hefty in the cartoon and movie dosent wear a shirt

  • who is that smurf with the shirt on

  • @mf8543 it's hefty smurf, but I call him "The Bear Smurf"

  • The cart00n is awersome. I have seen this cartoon at free8cartoons 8. u8s eNJOY! (delete 8)

  • The fact that the Smurfs are fantastical beings from a parallel dimension does allow the film's animation/vfx crew to get away with some less-than-seamless integration work; a scene in which Patrick embraces the little blue guys brings new meaning to the term "awkward hug." my brother said this movie rocks! i ll have to see it at freecartoons.

  • too cool the 3d

  • Check out the comparison of the real trailer :D

    /watch?v=9Mo4JuY1tGQ

  • press 3 for smurf bark xD

  • Fuckin' Snorks

  • @fatmoshe awesome. i had been working with bone structures for facials. but they arent as well done as yours. leaves a lot of mesh stress. been learning morpher/modifiers with the sliders for animation. seems very clean and easy to use. just time consuming to set up lol

  • @ronnsama Check out Jason Ospia's book "Stop Staring" for facial animation- The "Ospia" rig is very popular in productions- I think it clutters the screen too much. I also think it uses too many head shapes (using sliders to combine different shapes gives you a good amount of control). I simply add attributes to a parented "annotation" (under the create menu) and use the connection editor to connect the blend shapes to the new attributes.

    Good luck and have fun!

  • Amazing!!

  • Shouldn't the snorks be wearing helmets filled with water?

  • Ohmygosh! That must be the most epic spoof trailer this year!!!!

  • @mzedong001 thanks!

  • in animation, this is your best smurf adaptation! I look forward to movies you smurfify in the future

  • that was incredible!!!

  • @theomen84 thanks!

  • what program did you use?

is there a book or website that helped you a lot when you were a beginner?excellent job!!!

  • @MrAlexiv14 I use Maya for the animation and After Effects/Premier for the compositing/editing. I went to school for this- but if you want a good beginner's book, try Stop Staring by Jason Osipa (it's great for modeling and lip-syncing tutorials)

  • @fatmoshe thanks!keep doing that!it's great!!

  • @fatmoshe hahaha, that's great. I'm gonna have to look at the rest of your videos when I got time. well done, I especially like the facial animations. Can I ask how are you doing them? Are you using a bone system or the morph system with sliders?

  • @ronnsama I make blend shapes and connect them through sliders. I usually use the following (split into left and right sides): smile, frown, pucker, open, narrow, closed and open. I'll make specific shapes if the shot requires it.

  • Better then the real Smurf movie!

  • Better then the actual smurf 3d movie

  • Robot Chicken already did this story.

  • hahaha awesome xD

  • This is pretty cool

  • SNORF AIN'T GO NO HUMANITY!!

  • @fatmoshe

im gunna post this on liveleak.com but ill link to your youtube page in my description... awesome

  • @ibeleaf thanks! any help getting additional hits is much appreciated.

  • hey!! you're getting better at backgrounds!

  • @MegaWowful thanks. that's the goal- get better with every project. Next up is "Reservoir Smurfs".... I figured that sticking with Tarantino would be a good idea.

  • Yeah, thank god for wikipedia!

  • I love how you actually took the time to texture the scenes. And, it's ironic that the snorks started out as a German comic... Or was it belgan?

  • @MajorKirby9000 thanks! Actually, the Smurfs were created by and first introduced as a series of illustrated comic strips by the Belgian cartoonist Peyo (pen name of Pierre Culliford) on October 23, 1958. The Snorks was an animated television series produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions and created by "Man of Action" (a group consisting of Duncan Rouleau, Joe Casey, Joe Kelly, and Steven T. Seagle),, which ran on NBC from September 15, 1984 to May 13, 1989

  • My name IS... Papa Smurf!!!

  • hahahahah gargamel hitler nein nein nein, lol geil man

  • Screw Hollywood's future box office flop! I'd rather see THIS in theaters than the crappy Smurf movie coming out in 2011.

  • What is the name of the rock music playing?

  • u sir are a genius....a blue genius

i think at end instead of 100 snrk scalps it should be 100 snork head thingies....like wtf are those things on their heads anyway....gimme 100 of them!

  • @Kelnar7 Yeah, I toyed with 100 snork snorks, but I just liked the way scalps sounded better. Thanks for the support!
