  • @CBG0829 Hello. to answer your question. the auto-focus on the 70-300 is a (Silent Wave Motor)

    meaning the auto-focusing is dun by the lenses internal Motor so. yes! it will work on your D3000

    most all of Nikon's Cameras will work with all there AF-S lenses.
