I've been in 2 long distance relationships before, both in different countries. My view is that 90% it doesn't work out, but if it does it's cos it's really special and you find ways to meet up and eventually move in together.

I've been having a "thing" with this guy for 6months, and when we 1st started talking he was sweet and all and he'd show that he really liked me but latly he doesn't act the way and when he's in front of his friends he acts like he doesn't know me and ignores me:/.. not only tht but everytime we talk its not the same and idk what to do about it anymore:/

Hes not trying so ur better off taking this time to get over him and whatever the "thing" is... if he was serious about making it official or real, he wouldve already. And that thing infront of friends is normally a good sign that the guy isnt that serious about being with u. ive experienced this before and ive experienced when he was serious. Some guys r different but most arent in that case. Yeaa time to move on
