i love this escene he was desesperated by the situation and that dignam he somethings makes me enough but all in this movie act so fucking well as hell in special wahlberg,dicaprio,and nicholson its the best movie that i never seen.

This is a theory I made up. [SPOILERS AHEAD]
The manila envelope that Billy gave to Madeline contained the evidence that Colin was the mole. After the funeral, when she walks by Colin, and because she didn't look at him, she had already given the files to Dignam.And you know the rest.

yeah becuz he asked the other cop on the roof to bring mark and he didnt, so you know he wanted to get in touch with mark

Watching it again I found its pretty obvious. Near the middle of the movie wahlberg is all ready becoming suspicous of Damon. To top it off leonardo asks the black guy why he didn't bring Damon with him at the roof scene when leo tries arresting Damon. To top it off leo gave that envelope to the psychiatrist lady. Before that she listened to Damon and costellos recording. So there are alot of ways wahlberg found out.
