the company is nomore but a new company made a newer version called supreme commander its the same concept

@MikenCarly I have Supreme Commander, and I was definitely waiting for it to come out for years. It seems to have a lot of the things they wanted in the original TA (Like shields and whatnot) but the engine didn't allow. It doesn't seem to have the same charm though.. If they had more utilities for third party unit creation and such, the game might get a new breath of life..

Omg I miss this game. I just snagged a copy the other day. I miss making units and stuff.. We worked on some of the first third party races and some neat transforming units and stuff.

The memories.. It's impossible to find a game as timeless and addicting as this one.

Let alone a soundtrack that is anywhere near HALF as amazing.

Not Lost Legacy, but I worked on The Argon, Stu'rik (unavailble for download anywhere now), and did the TA:Galactic Warfare units.

I think the first third party race ever was The Mynn, if I'm not mistaken..

It was around the time Chris..something-or-other had finished up the original third party race The Mynn. This was all probably around '99 I think? It's been so long haha

I need to grab a copy and see what new stuff is lying around these days :)

I was not around when The Mynn came out, and the oldest mod I've ever tried out was The Joined Tribe (TA Mutation-based add-on).

@unnoon I have to agree. I find myself playing less and less new games and more old games these days. I think my current collection has TA, Baldur's Gate, Fallout 1&2, Grim Fandango, System Shock 2, Starflight, Star Control 2, man.. The list goes on. But it's just too hard to get enjoyment out of newer games. It's too sad.. =(

Yes, I think the cause of all this is the new generation of "gamers"... People that normally never play games go play cod because it's stupid and simple... Nobody notices that the game's horrible because cod is simply the only game they play :/
