Despues de ver esta demo me he quedado muy "roto" al ver como han desafiado la limitación del uso de colores en el spectrum,el audio no se queda corto tampoco :) muy bueno!
what sort of spectrum hardware we looking at here - just a 128k? no sam coupe or anything like that - thats a bit unbelievable for a standard spectrum 128
Wow, there were very few occurrences of colour clash. That is using the limitations of the spectrum (ie disability of having more than 2 colours in a predefined 8x8 square) to its advantage. By the end of the 80s graphic artists were using this to their advantage, but the graphics in that is just mind blowing. Its 2007 and the spectrum still lives in. Who knew that it would have as big influence as it has had.

Uhm, why those thick lines? ;)
Tia1ko 2 years ago
Because those thick lines makes it look like ink and art. It hides the low resolution just beautifully.

ZX Spectrum hardware allow only 2 colors per 8x8 pixel block. With thick black lines they managed to hide this limitation.

There is a "Weed" demo (by the same team iirc) that has similar, but even better color part.
