Dragging samples with the Edison Drag / Copy Button

Please can some one tell me why I cant drag sample from edison and put it to the pattern? I can only save the sample and just after that I it send to the pattern...

I cant drag sample from edison and put it to the pattern either. I try but my cusor gets a circle with a cross through it and it. So i can drag but not drop ?

Any help would be good. Thnx in advance.

@SuperMrmickey You've got to make sure you're dragging it into the section of the Pattern where the channel name is. You should actually be able to drag it anywhere in the Pattern/Step Sequencer.

@SampleSimple Hello SampleSimple i am having the same problem as Supermrmickey i try to drag and i have a Stop sign looking symbol and the File is see thru it will not let me drop it onto the step sequencer or anywhere am i doing something wrong ive looked at your tutorials and im doing what you have in this video but where your able to just click drag and drop i cant please help.

@erik225861 Hi - I'm not sure why you're having this problem. You should be able to click the Drag Copy button into a Sampler channel in the Step Sequencer. If you're familiar with screen recording software such as CamStudio or Camtasia, maybe you can record your screen to show me how it looks.

Hi joeycrack9911, sorry for the late response. Your FREEZE setting is selected. It is located at the bottom right of Edison. Simply uncheck it.

@SampleSimple edison was working fine for me then i must have changed something and now i cant get it back i cant drag from edison like i was b4 it is not the freeze button can you please try to help me

everytime i drag it the cursor changes and the whole thing freezes and i gotta End program help

This method (Drag / Copy Button) may also be used with the new SliceX slicing sampling tool now included in FL Studio 8.

much props for the tutorials and answering everyone questions. That really help out alot. I am using the mpd16. when i drag and drop from edison to fl slicer, my samples are not lining up on the pads correctly. do u have a cheat sheet of what my pads should be such as c# what have u? Thanks in advance.

Hi reggiereg1 we're glad the video helped out. Stay tuned for more videos today. You may need to re-install the MPD16 and use the utility that comes with it to remap the pads. Give that a try.
