And back when I didn't know him irl, and wrote him constantly, he usually would only reply when I was really down and he wanted to make me feel better. It was pretty rare to get replies.

Seriously, best bet, least annoying way, talk to him in person after a show.

@JesusRocks198 Trust me, you do not want to go about this the way that I did. The ONLY reason he probably put up with me was because I was the first to do it. I've heard from him,a nd a few other people that he has tons of girls who write him all the time nowadays.. How irritating do you think that'd be? Your best route would just to go to a rk show and wait outside to talk to him once it's over.

@JerBushell89 Yup, I pretty much used to.. Just like you seem to be stalking these comments. But, like I believe I've already said, this was years ago. I've grown up and gotten over my "OH MY GOD IT'S MATT THIESSEN" phase. I don't even care for Relient K much anymore. I mostly go to see old friends and see the guys. Matt and I are actually buds now and he gets me tickets and photo passes for free whenever I want.

@Sevenstar707 they're still playing. I just saw them in concert on Dec 5th in Atlanta on a Christmas tour, a lot of the members have just changed since they FIRST started in 1999 (or was it 97? I don't remember...) I got to meet Ethan LUck - their current drummer and Justin York (who has filled in for Hoopes in the past 2 tours now). It was AH-mazing. Love them.

@HouseisMartin Back then at the time this video was taken, I was a big fan that wrote him a lot, and he'd write back every now and then.

Scott, the manager, had me go backstage because I had brought christmas gifts for everyone, and the guys told him about it in advance. Plus, they probably all knew how badly I wanted to meet all of them.

Now I'm kinda friends with Matt and he puts me on the guest list and gets me photo passes and stuff. They're all really nice dudes.
