The odd thing is I see people jogging right over it or by it and nobody picking it up. The biggest disease to planet earth is obviously humans. Biggest issue the parents take no responsibility for the teenagers or kids. I suspect the problem will get worse as the earth population soars. Solutions are either raise your taxes to have folks pick it up or leave it there and look at it and lose tourists and the money associated with tourists. Start your own group of people to remove it!
The sad truth, the people who leave this mess behind, are locals from the surrounding cities. Yes locals, mostly young adults who come to misbehave and Trash our city every weekend. Shameful!!!
I am shocked to see this video. I have just moved to California to Miami Beach and am absolutely disgusted with what i have seen in person. I am very sad and upset that such natural beauty is being ruined by the uneducated, primitive human scum that frequents this area on weekends. Something has to be done before its too late. City officials have to step in and implement a legislation addressing this problem. We all need to step up the efforts and save Miami Beach. PLEASE
The county,(Miami-Dade) is responsible for beach cleaning and trash removal. They work early as possible and must cover from South Pointe to Haulover. Do you want to raise taxes and have people working 24 hours per day?

We live near here and are so embarassed that we won't take visiting friends and relatives to the beach. We've complained for years but nothing happens. Check out the entrance to the beach at South Pointe Drive & Ocean - YUK!
The beach always looks this way after the weekend. MBPD should hand out citations for littering every weekend at sunset. Clubs such as Nikki Beach also need to be clean up the area South of 5th near the Continuum 1 & 2.
