  • this is really hard for me to play on drums.... that rhythm when the refrain plays.... i cant figure it out!

  • 0:59 nice squeak!

  • good playin' super song =)

  • good job

  • @fugahsi

    Thanks.

  • How much that kit run you? I have a shitty kit right now and want to know what I'm lookin at for a good one like this

  • @unholymonkey

I bought the kit second hand from my brother in law for $500. I've bought up the rack and cymbals and other accessories slowly over time. These are Yamaha Stage Customs and have a really good sound in my opinion. Thanks for watching!

  • This seems like a good song for beginers?? A good steady beat with some interesring fills

  • i thought i was seeing the tiniest hi-hat ever. i then realized it was a splash covering the exact place he was hitting the actual hi-hat haha

  • @drumminHooligan lol i thought the same thing

  • @drumminHooligan Lol yeah xD

  • is that emperor x snare head or a controlled sound?

  • @Derek0Jeter2

I think that was just an Emperor Coated head. I had a cymbal felt taped down to help control some of the ring on a 14" Yamaha Steel Snare. Thanks for watching.

  • absuluately fucking brilliant kit mate

  • @rbr747

    Thanks!!

  • Thank you!!

  • @aznivx

    You're welcome!

  • thanks, u taught me

  • @kombokmb

Glad the vid helped. Thanks for watching!

  • You taught me to play this song, thanks.

  • @carlosferni04

No problem. I'm glad it helped.

  • are u a hardcore clash fan like me :D

  • Spot on

  • @maxbaynes

    Thanks.

  • are you using double bass?

  • @sampest1040

I am not using double bass on this song. The part you're probably talking about is a tom hit followed by two quick bass drum beats. Thanks for watching.

  • Nice job man!! Keep it up..!

    (Your snare sounds great!!)

  • i still don't get how to do the fast high-hats during the toms part on the chorus :( help!!

  • @jamesupjimmy

To me, it sounds like a tambourine is being played during that tom portion but I could be wrong. Since recording this I've thought of trying to play a high hat mounted tambourine to see if I can get a similar effect to the original.

  • @twocanchu yeh i thought that too. i'm not sure. might write to Topper and ask :D

  • Veeery good

  • @alexis191295

    Thanks!

  • you're really good :)!

  • @Himynameisyellow

    Thanks!

  • Nice :D

  • 素晴らしいです。ぜひトッパー・ヒードンの他の曲も取り上げて下さい。

  • @samuraiville

    ありがとう。私はいくつかの他をカバーすることができる場合、私は表示されます。

  • Bring it on!!! Good work!

  • @venyusz01

    Thanks!!

  • @twocanchu ino the 8th on hi-hat but on chorus I swear it's 8th too not 4 - listen close

  • loved it

  • @kaloirinha

    Thanks!

  • @TamaHawked u sort of need the hi-hat cos it is accnted in the second verse, plus it's used to sort of keep beat for the whole band, great vid tho, could never get Toms right :/ cheers

  • @jamesupjimmy

To me it sounds like 8th notes on the high hat with a tambourine accent on the snare beats.

  • nice, my band play the veres without the hithat, i think it adds the effect the clash were giving, and with the hi hat i think its tomutch

  • nice! ...i like it!

  • This video really help me! Thanks, Man.

  • @tlustybaleron

    You're welcome. Glad it helped.

  • Love your covers man!!. LOL you've got the same "Guitar Scales" poster as I do in my cover vids!! Keep up the great work!

  • dude your good but a bit fast tho but still good :D !

  • Haha that is a great cover. your kit sounds awesome as well

    keep it up (Y)

  • Thanks!

  • U nailed that!..nice!, btw wat ride are u using, is it a vintage zildjian?

  • Thanks! Yes, it's an old Zildjian cymbal. I'm not sure of the age or the series but you can still make out the Zildjian stamp on it.

  • yeah, it helps a lot

  • nice cover. im a drummed for my band and i needed to touch up on one part. thaks for the help!

  • Glad it helped. Thanks for watching.

  • i'm not a drummer but i love drums... how do u coordinate hands and legs? is it difficult to learn?

  • Initially for me it was difficult. I got to a point where I would concentrate on playing a groove more than worrying about what my hands and feet were doing. Then everything started to come together.

  • haha... now I can play it! becouse of your movie. thanks and add more.

  • Cool. Glad to hear it helped.

  • not bad, not bad...

  • great cover man!

my band needed this song, i'm the drummer, so thanks for all of us!

  • Your welcome! Thanks for watching.

  • realy great cover of the song,

my band in school are wanting to performe this one and this has helped me alot.

    thanks

  • Thanks. I'm glad it helped!

  • Isn't the original song on 4ths? Doesn't matter as the point of a cover is to make it your own. Good Job!

  • BTW 5/5

  • I have that same snare Tama Imperial Star right? and those same sticks. anyways great job this helped me a lot.

  • Actually the snare is a steel Yamaha Stage Custom. I had a similar Tama steel snare as well. Thanks for watching! I'm glad it helped.

  • i guess steel colored explains why it looks like mine. Anyways thanks for doing this i heard the part at 1:20 and was like. o.O

  • that's sick.
