@socibetcicakgoreng Hardly call it an "experiment", considering most muscle cars, including the Challenger, are FR layout. If anything, it's the next step forward in drifting, considering you can push a big block V8 a lot harder than a Japanese engine. Don't get me wrong, I love seeing a gorgous import doing its thing, but don't think for a minute they're the only cars for the job.
@xXxdaguitarfreakxXx Not Tanner Foust's old Scion he used to drive... had a nascar V8 and probably revved upwards of 9k. And the whole car probably didn't way any more than 2500lbs
@JimmyVDitti well if you can afford it, then yeah that would be the best engine for the job. i was just talking about your average big block v8 engine which usually maxxes out at like 5500-6500 rpms. Another thing about nascar engines is they're made of almost all aluminum so they dont weigh a thing, unlike most v8s, especially big blocks. a big part of drifting is weight, which really affects whether your car will actually drift into the corner or fly off the track.
God I love that viper..... The challenger is just as amazing tho...

@couchfort I LOVE v8s, but they have a lower RPM range and are a lot heavier, which are both bad for drifting
