  • absolutely cool!

  • C'est vraiment génial ! Bravo !

  • I was just wondering what the A Clockwork Orange nintendo game would sound like.

  • Well, now you know... and knowing is half the battle! LOL

An NES adaption of this film would be cool to see.

  • Your right. even if it was made in to a bad game the Angry Video game could review it.

  • That would be cool.

I could see James dress up as Alex DeLarge.

  • Do you think you can try making the animated video "BEASTER" on youtube Into 8 bit?

  • yes i probably could, im currently upgrading all my equipment so that it can produce 8bit music using real 8-bit hardware, which is taking a little more time than i expected.

  • what are you useing to make to sounds (like an instrument)?

  • its sony's acid programme with a commodore hardware emulator. music is all midi

  • i like it, have you used korg ds 10?

  • I've suffered the tortures of the dammed sir, the tortures of the dammed.

  • "Ok, I was cured alright"

best endin to the best movie ever made

  • This is hilarious, and yet incredibly awesome. I don't think it would make for a very good video game, but if someone was serious about it, it would be both hilarious and incredibly sad.

"A devotchka has been kidnapped by ninjas! Are you a bad-enough droog to perform the old in-and-out?!"

  • not a bad idea and to be in and a game in to see real horrorshow ultraviolence in wonderful HD

  • I love it!! they should make a videogame inspired by the clockwork orange...

  • just edit GTA 2

  • That would be so horrorshow..

  • i don't agree. if they make a videogame inspired by the clockwork orange the movie loses all meaning. i dont think that exist someone brilliant enough to make a good ACO videogame.

but GTA has a lot of ultra-violence!! enjoy it!!! XD

  • a clockwork orange is one of those films that CAN'T be make it into a video game, cos whats gonna be the plot? like the godfather or scarface? walking around the city do mission and kill people?

  • Maybe the plot can be between the last chapter in the US version and the last chapter in the UK version. In the UK version Alex has a new group and it takes place 2 or 3 years after the previous chapter. Maybe it could work.

  • Anything A Clockwork Orange, especially a video game, will suck without Kubrick's input.

  • yes but if Kubrick had made a game the NES Game would have only just been released.

  • Way to have a sense of humor, man.

  • I wasn't replying to the video itself, I was replying to the people in the comments who genuinely believe that this movie should be made into a video game resembling Grand Theft Auto.

    I enjoyed the video.

  • Oh. Sorry about that.

At any rate, there are very few movies I can think of that would make worse candidates for video games. I wouldn't mind a game with a story set in a dark, dystopian future that plays with the themes of free will and morality. I wouldn't mind that at all. But "A Clockwork Orange" is not even remotely suitable for video game adaptation.

  • You know the "Conkers Bad Fur Day" intro?

  • omg best game ever made conker = god a clockwork orange = the creator of god

  • i was alex last halloween and my friend h8s this movie and hes like ppl r gunna laugh at you, no joke in like a min i hear from across the road hows it goin droggie then some guys from a car yelled ultra violence and i saw another droog out my friend got pissed off and left to a different party :P

  • Hahah, I really need to dress up as Alex one halloween...

  • hahah thats aweosme

  • Haha, you poor malchick.. that's awesome, though..XD

I think I'm going to be Alex this year for Halloween.. (the umm.. girl version I suppose.. XD) But I don't think I'll get as many laughs because alot of people don't seem to have even heard of the movie here.. =/ (Which is chepooka if you ask me.. XD)

  • Same here, dearest devotchka.I'm actually dressed as the dear narrator at this moment,as I'm about to head down to the old theme party, hoping to get the old knifey moloko...But noone's ever viddied ACO down here, which is a load of yarbles...:/

  • Sounds pretty horrorshow.. hope you have a real dobby time then. :P ..Yeah, real bezoomny if you ask me.. but I even know a ptitsa.. my own droog too, who never even slooshied the name ACO.. =/

  • i would love to be alex for halloween i ned the right stuff to have that though

  • back in the mid-late 9-Ts EVERYBOBY was bressed as alex for halloween,at least here were I live.

  • That's pretty cool.. I've never seen anyone dressed like that here.. But then again, it seems alot of people don't even dress up for Halloween anymore (and why? It's fun.. :D)

  • Dude , you could make an awesome A Clockwork Orange game!!! just make an sandbox game with missions that are like his crimes ...and style ...make it like an 3d GTA....ish

  • clockwork on NES lol XD ''objective: rape and kill the house owner with a giant penis'' lol

  • I think it would be cool if there was A Colckwork Orange game made in the style of Grand theft Auto. You could run around and do whatever you want to.

  • no tht would suck the only proper way to do a game of a clockwork orange would be like in the style of fable where u do the missions have fun can or caant get in trouble as to which gta style would be dumb th estupid map and the graphics wouldnt fit GTA+clockwork orange = no no.

  • agreed

  • I would appreciate any clockwork orange game regardless of genre.

  • what about DDR+Clockwork Orange? :P

  • Jajja, it's so funny, like a videogame for "A Clockwork Orange".

  • queen mary is rolling in her grave. nice dood.

  • scary

  • es k la naranja mekanika es muxa naranja mekanika

  • La Naranja Electrónica

  • the nes verison of clockwork orange

  • trippy :)

  • hehe nicely done. Your own composition? Cool. I posted an 8-bit version by Georg Feil that I like. Yours has a very nice nostalgia too it though, thanks for posting!

  • no, the mood in the film is somehow funny and ironical and of cours are there differences between both but the interpretation by kubrick is not that, what burgess (i think) to proclaim. i like the book and also the film, but its a fact, accept it, i´m righti right, droogs ;)

  • had anyone of you ever read the book?

his name isn´t "alex delarge" !!!!

in the book, he calls his penis alex delarge, but the reader never knows his surname. the film is completely diffrent to the book and dont think you know the issue of clockwork orange, when you just have watched the film! this ist absolutely not horrorshow, you dim vechks!

  • Well, I read the novel and the book is pretty faithful to the book, the mood and everything is the same and the story too except from little details. But there's not the last chapter D:

Oh, and for the movie they needed a name because autorithy and all can't just call him "Alex".

  • If you remember, in the book, Alex nicknames himself "Alex the Large" following his rape and assault of the writer's wife.

This is how Kubrick got the name "Alexander DeLarge" for the film.

  • I know. But that's not very official as a name. He's just saying that, like, talking of his penis or something. It's just a little nickname he gave himself.

  • Yeah that's what I just said, a nickname.

  • I want to play Clockwork Orange for Nes! That would be "horrorshow" beyond fucking reckoning

  • I feel like Super Mario...Real Horroshow,droog!!!

  • sometimes you think, whats the point, and now is one of those times....

  • i put right up there with wizards and warriors soundtrack!

  • Alex DeLarge an anti hero?

    He's a villain! A dastardly villain!

  • He's the protagonist!

  • Yes Droggs the video game Conker's Bad Fur Day does spoof the beginning of this great masterpiece. You have to admit if someone was to say use a game maker type program you could pull it off with great skill. Alex DeLarge one of the greatest anti-hero's of all time in my opinion. So anyone ready to make this humble game then be my guest. I would but thy's talent isn't great.

  • This is really cool, but it sounds like the harmony is winning out over the melody. Try to find a version of the song that is mainly melody with a bass-line and convert it to 8-bit, that way not so much processing will be dedicated to the chords. Good job! :)

  • So how is it possible to turn music into 8 bit?

  • digital effect known as bit crushing you can use it garage band or logic its probably in cubase or all the other recording tools for PCs there are some pedals that do this catlinbread's heliotrop is one just search it. the tool downsizes the sample to sound 8-bit

  • in garage band sweet!!!

  • Or better Yet, Use "Gashisoft". I downloaded it and trust me, I rocks the 8 bit. all you have to do is download a Midi song and then drag it on the screen and There the 8 bit music is born again.

  • it's not really a cover since the chords are all just going to monophonics... it could almost just pass as a different song... nevertheless cool

  • but its still a good game

  • conkers bad fur day riped this off

  • they spoofed it.

Or referenced it, anyways, it wasnt a rip off.

  • if only there had been a Clockwork Orange Atari game.

  • I have a cool idea for a Clockwork Orange video game. Similar to the Warriors video game and takes place before the movie.

Also the game Conker's Bad Fur Day uses the same music at the opening but different instruments.

  • jaa , sopunds liek zelda nintendo yea

  • Ugbug67, I wanted to make a fake commercial for an 8-bit game version of A Clockwork Orange (just for fun). Your music would obviously be perfect and I wouldnt be making any money from it. May I please have your permission to use it?

  • Sounds very Link's Awakening.

  • You should do some more and have a video series of 8-bit theme songs from classic movies. Here are some ideas to get you started:

    Chariots of Fire

    Jaws

    Indiana Jones

    Fiddler on the Roof (whole)

    Could be awesome!

  • 8bit clockwork game?! that would have been sick.

  • actually it would be cool to play alex delarge on nintendo

  • that would've been the old GTA

  • This is crappy in a good way!

  • very good :D

  • It really sounds and feels like a NES game. Nice.

  • Really like it, good job!

  • i composed it using Anvil Studio then using a VST plugin called BASIC 64 to make it sound 8-bit then exported it as a wav.

  • i have a question. how did you make that "this video is highly compressed, if you want a high quality wav/mp3 please send me your email via youtube message board and i´ll email you it." message?

  • you open your video in youtube and from the video owner options box select Add Anotations

  • Yeah, good question, man
