i have to disagree with all these comments. I don't think michael buble & norah jones would have been a good duet. The point of this classic is to have to contrasted vocal parts which is why willie and norah are so perfect. Michael and norah simply have too similar vocal types. I personally think Norah jones & Lou Reed would be perfect.
Their styles and voices seem really mismatched in this cut.
I also dislke the Redbone-Deschanel version, because I find Zooey Deschanel's voice annoying. To me her voice has a logy quality, as though she is bored by life, herself and you, and she is only a razor's breadth away from slicing her wrists.
Now I'd love to hear this song with Leon Redbone and Norah Jones.
I'd also like to hear it with Michael Buble and Jane Monheit.

I love Willie and the song is classic. I would love to hear Norah do this with Leon Redbone. Willie's guitar verse solo is perfect and with Mickie jumping in for the last eight bars it's earth shattering.
I didn't want to like this but, I have to. It's so light and fun... I like the way Willie "stayed in his lane", do what you do and do it well and he did. Norah, you always bring it. Well done. This is definitely a year round song.

One of those albums (?) CDs now I've played over and over again like a teenager. It's a total surprise how well his voice works in this style of music.
Willie knocks another one out of the park. He and Nora works good together. Another great version is done by Lou Rawls and Dianne Reeves. Lou has that beautiful deep voice and Dianne compliments him beautifully.

I love Willie and the song is classic. I would love to hear Norah do this with Leon Redbone. Willie's guitar verse solo is perfect and with Mickie jumping in for the last eight bars it's earth shattering.

I didn't want to like this but, I have to. It's so light and fun... I like the way Willie "stayed in his lane", do what you do and do it well and he did. Norah, you always bring it. Well done. This is definitely a year round song.

Willie knocks another one out of the park. He and Nora works good together. Another great version is done by Lou Rawls and Dianne Reeves. Lou has that beautiful deep voice and Dianne compliments him beautifully.
