Awesome performance. The great thing about Rush and Neil Peart is he was a big fan of Ayn Rand, and he put a lot of Rand themes in some of Rush's most popular songs. Peart himself is a Howard Roark (from The Fountainhead) figure because he's arguably one of the best drummers alive, and takes perfection of his art very seriously. If you haven't read Ayn Rand, you should. You'll really gain a better understanding of a lot of Rush songs.

Actually, I have NEVER to this day been able to stand listening to anything on Vapor Trails (not the songs, the mix) at anywhere near any volume that I need to crank it to drum along. So... as much as I'd like to do 4 or 5 from VT, the chance of hearing them soon is close to nil. I will have to totally revamp my graphic equalizer and recording levels in order to drum along to anything off VT.
