  • funny how ralph tresvant got hooked on coke! probably right after this commercial lmfao

  • Even New Edition themselves admitted at this point that they were getting tired of playing the bubblegum pop game and wanted to get back to their R&B roots. But this is a nice piece of nostalgia anyways.

  • 80s! PLEASE COME BACK TO US! PLEASE! PLEASE! PLEASE!

  • whats with the soft drink adds and black people

  • Loved this commercial! I would look for it constantly when I was watching "Soul Train" or "Friday Night Videos" :D

  • lmao i love the 80's

  • I so remember this! I was only 7 at the time...and I remember being struck by that "wave" they were riding on! LOL. Check out my channel for the video of Petite's tribute to New Edition -- "So FIne."

  • what the hell was that? but I still love N.E.

  • I think Bobby Borown left the group when thay did this Coke Commercial

  • I was one month old when this commercial came out.

  • I was an avid music fan and TV watcher, and if this ad had played in my market, I would've noticed. This is my first time seeing it. Like many advertisements, I'm sure this was shown mainly in regions where it would have the most impact - i.e., the 18-34 urban demographic. Alas, remote and mountainous northwestern California (where I grew up) was not a hotbed of R&B in the mid-80s. Much as I would have loved that. :-)

  • i remeber dis. coke wuz my main drink after dat lol!

  • I love New Edition. NE to the day I die and thanks for posting this!

  • OMG! I remember when this commercial came out. Now I'm really telling my age. Thanks

  • i'm in my 30s, and i don't remember this commercial at all... and i watched a whole lot of teevee. wow...

  • i just saw the one they did for a car company too... it was much later, when johnny gill was in NE. have you seen that one? i think lincoln was the car. all these new edition commercials slipped passed me...

  • a little bit on the "menudo ABC spot" geeky side, but awesome nonetheless!

  • dayum, I remember this joint! thanx for the upload!

  • Damn I miss the 80s!

  • ronnie and mike is so cute, give me 10 minutes in the room wit ronnie

  • Damn this is old. lol

  • My panties are wet now....hhhuuuuhhhhh!!!

  • Mike and ralph look so good in this video.

  • ralph looks fine as usual i remember seeing this commercial during soul train.

  • wow...i bet they got paid, but its one of those things i bet you watch and are like, "what the hell was i thinking"?

  • They have better been getting paid. Around this time, they were a foursome and took whatever work they can get in addition to touring and promoting for their third lp because they were trying to get out of that f**ked up joint contract with Jumpshoot records, of which did'nt give them the fair profits from their popular second lp.

  • great, first bobby brown fucks up coke and then whitney? i don't like this fellow! :D

  • that stupid joke wasn't even funny

  • Right, and Bobby wasn't even in the group nor in the commercial when it came out.

  • Wow...I had a charmed childhood. I loved them sooo much. This should have let them know they had truly arrived.

  • I got this commercial on tape (from 1986, in-between videos from Firday Night Videos)

  • i like this coke commericial.. its too cheesy... it has a cute song... ralph looks Auh-door-ree-bal..

  • I AGREE
