It was also the fact that Eric had an anti depressant in his system at the time. After reading some curious statements a bout it, he was taking them before and he had suicidal thoughts. I believe Dylan could have been saved,and if they took Eric off the depressant I'm sure this may have never happend. Like marylin Manson said when Moore asked him "What would you have said the kids?" Dylan was depressed, mostly because he felt isolated, alone, & wanted to be loved by a girl. Even if Dylan wasn't bullied a single time, I don't think it would of changed his feelings. At my school there were plenty of outcasts who didn't fit in and weren't bullied. Being an outcast bothered him. Bullying probably played a role, but nowhere near the biggest.

Eric and Dylan weren't bullied. Please research the topic folks. Dylan suffered from severe depression and a mild God complex. Just read his journals. As for Eric, he played the social system. Lots of people found him pleasant to be around unless he was angry. That was the only time they felt like not being around him. His anger brought Dylan out of suicidal thoughts into shooting up the school. The suicide occurred cause they knew they couldn't escape. Hell, one of the victims was mentally slow

Eric had major anger issues. Eric offered Dylan a salvation by going on a killing spree because Dylan most likely would have eventually killed himself without taking anyone else down.

You know what perplexes me the most about this event is how such a bloody event happened in such an affluent neighborhood or part of the country. This event occurred the day after my fifth birthday. I never even knew about this until a few years ago. It must've been so traumatic for all of the students. Some never even got to see their friends again that they saw each and every school day. :(

evidence shows a diffrent story mind you. Looking into a few things it seem as though Eric and Dylan were killed. They were labled as the killers so main stream media did not care about them. I also find it sick that the two photos were allowed to be posted on the net like someone was saying stick up for yourself and this will happen to you as well. This could have been stoped but the pigs there wanted to just pick on them rather than help. The cops are at fault not the parents or eric n dylan.

It was also the fact that Eric had an anti depressant in his system at the time. After reading some curious statements a bout it, he was taking them before and he had suicidal thoughts. I believe Dylan could have been saved,and if they took Eric off the depressant I'm sure this may have never happend. Like marylin Manson said when Moore asked him "What would you have said the kids?" His response."I wouldn't say anything I would have listened."

In my opinion, Id confidently say that without Eric, Dylan never woulda killed anyone, aside from possibly himself. He never talks about killing someone til midway through his journal- in the same sentence he mentions Eric.. before that he just talked about suicide a lot.
W/out Dylan, Eric still would have. If youve read his journal, its pretty clear that hes batshit crazy. From page 1 til the end it's pretty ridic. If you havent you should give em both a read.. theyre only like 40 pages each.

@SouljaBoyJakup Eric was a psycho. Plain & simple. His issues are deep rooted mental problems, not just something brought on by bullying. Dylan was depressed, mostly because he felt isolated, alone, & wanted to be loved by a girl. Even if Dylan wasn't bullied a single time, I don't think it would of changed his feelings. At my school there were plenty of outcasts who didn't fit in and weren't bullied. Being an outcast bothered him. Bullying probably played a role, but nowhere near the biggest.

Eric and Dylan weren't bullied. Please research the topic folks. Dylan suffered from severe depression and a mild God complex. Just read his journals. As for Eric, he played the social system. Lots of people found him pleasant to be around unless he was angry. That was the only time they felt like not being around him. His anger brought Dylan out of suicidal thoughts into shooting up the school. The suicide occurred cause they knew they couldn't escape. Hell, one of the victims was mentally slow

@falloutboy8694 They may have been bullied to an extent, but most, if not all, high school students are bullied. Bullying isn't related to them going on the killing spree at all. Dylan was depressed. Eric had major anger issues. Eric offered Dylan a salvation by going on a killing spree because Dylan most likely would have eventually killed himself without taking anyone else down.

"get the facts"~> I think you might find a certain book Very Interesting, "No Easy Answers by:Brooks Brown" . He grew up with Dylan (since childhood) and they all hung out (Dylan, Brooks and Eric amongst others as well) and can't anyone besides Dylan and Eric can tell you more about [them], then he. Unfortunately, the bullies hardly get targeted by the shooters, which is purely unfortunate. Although they were wrong in alot of ways, most of it stems from being bullied. @armykidgrace Whole lot easier said than done. You have no idea what they went through. Telling someone to stand up to bullies is not only unrealistic, it's not smart. Most bullies victimize those they know they can easily defeat. Alot of bullies team up. Taking on several bullies at once doesn't work without a weapon. They were wrong in what they did but they reached the point of no return and viewed the entire body of Columbine and the world as their enemy.

They did it because they wanted to end it all and make a bang on the way out. They said this many times throughout their journals and what is now called the "basement tapes" they left behind, which are sealed until at least 2028, however, you can find the transcripts of these videos at several sources. They were released to the public.

If you were in that situation, you would understand not only where they are coming from, but where alot of us are coming from. I'm sick and tired of bullies. It's not something small that people should just "deal" with if they happen to get the short end of the stick. It's not just something that comes with growing up. You know what perplexes me the most about this event is how such a bloody event happened in such an affluent neighborhood or part of the country. Now i don't live in Colorado or United States but it nevertheless shocking. Yes these two guys were wackjobs but it didn't seem like they were poor. They could have gotten the proper help before they got to that level. Colorado is one of the wealthiest parts of the US if i'm not mistaken. It just surprises me that this could happen by well off kids.

.Kids get suspended for bringing toy guns to school as the youth becomes more disgruntled, theres only been more school shootings, bullying, and suicides since columbine, and only been a massive increase in federal control of everything from what schools to teach to the microphone and camera on your computer/cell phone. This event occurred the day after my fifth birthday. I never even knew about this until a few years ago. It must've been so traumatic for all of the students. Some never even got to see their friends again that they saw each and every school day. :(

Shootings in schools must stop. Do shootings in job fairs. Hundreds of people there. Easy to spray the entire room with ammo. High casualty count. Unemployment will go down, states save money on welfare and unemployment checks. And people still alive will have better shots at getting jobs.
