i was so upset when i heard what happened with Nick being deported... i had tickets to see him in chicago and was really looking forward to finally hearing swashbuckle and ariel in full... now i dont know when, if ever, i'll get that chance... just wanna throw a big FUCK YOU over to bon iger and the disney douches...
i remember when there was a nice audio swashbuckle on youtube. I wouldn't care about it getting deleted from youtube if it weren't such a good song, replayed it a lot. I wish i ripped it from here T_T
Dear Disney. Money isn't everything , all we want is to enjoy our lives and pogos music sure as HELL helps it. Let the man do what he has the talent to do, and go worry about something more important like the racial and " subliminal " messages in your movies.
Hey Dj its Bryant his manager. Im going to be perfectly honest. I think Disney did this to send a message. I brought Nick to Pixar and negotiated to sign a contract for 5 remixes, Upular being the first. By 2 suffice it to say it was apparent they werent about the music and were using some hardball tactics we did not like. We finished our contract but not without fuss, Nick and I stood up to them on several occasions and would not fold. IMO they do this as a way of spiting him.
@uwmbigb Maybe Ill post a video describing in detail what happened, sorry for the brevity here. But mostly we got the distinct impression that it was like "we have enough money to pay you just to go away we dont like you nemore". In industry nomenclature they shelved him. It couldve been worse they tried to buy up the rights to him in his entirety, forcing him to make Disney remixes in perpetuity, and not jst for 5 remixes. We lost 2, Swahsbuckle and Ariel, but ya it couldve been worse
@uwmbigb That's really messed up. I just can't understand how they don't realize how much he's done for them? For me, Pogo and Disney go hand in hand. If I see a Disney movie I now look at it under a different light, wondering how certain sounds can formulate music, which realistically maximizes the amount of times I'll view the movie. What a shame.
After seeing Pogo's remixes of Alice in Wonderland and UP! I actually watched those movies. I also watched all the Toy Story movies after seeing the Toyz Noize. So I have no idea What the whooping ffff Disney is trying to accomplish by blocking releases from Pogo. Only thing they gain is loss of their reputation and gain tons of haters.
All of the points discussed in the above video are absolutely true! I just found out about pogo the other day when I heard the Upular Remix and it actually inspired me to go watch the movie, which I did the very next day. Powerful advertising you could say... Amazing musician you can certainly say! Release Swashbuckle!!! Thanks!
before disney became as powerful as it is, Walt disney himself embraced art and creativity through working with such artists as Salvador Dali. I think disney has lost what it once possessed back in the early days, they've become too possessive and power-hungry that now they prevent artistic expression and creativity. Walt Disney would be rolling in his grave (or freezing chamber...) shame on them.
I agree with you. Nick's remixes definitely make me want to watch the movies. I rented Hook on Netflix after seeing Bangarang. I'm currently awaiting Howl's Moving Castle after listening to Tunnels, and that doesn't even have a video. That just shows how powerful Nick's music can be. Nick's remixes have absolutely sparked my interest in the movies they are based upon. I've signed the petition to release Swashbuckle and I'm hoping that Disney realizes that they've messed up.
I wish we knew why it was canceled and what would make Disney pay attention, but until we know more we should just keep spreaing the petition and getting the word out.
I have to say that the Swashbuckle I heard live was my favorite pogo track ever, so I'm seriously upset about this whole thing.

I AGREE. I never was a fan of Lord of the Rings until Murmurs of Middle Earth.

See, Pixar knows this, and that's why I love them even more.
They realize songs from Up and Toy Story will cause more popularity for their movies, so they're like "A remix? Hell yeah, release it!"
Just goes to show that Pixar has some great movies, and some common sense!

Yeah it only makes me want to see the movie. My guy never saw alice in wonderland until he saw that remix. He watched it with me! I was surprised.

I was just watching Swashbuckle on YouTube. I've never seen Pirates of the Caribbean, but the remix was epic. I'm definitely gonna watch it now!
