The mom ist stupid. Its the baby's shadow and the mom is laughing because she's distracting her from being frightened. It's parenting 101; if your child is either hurt, scared,sad or whatever, the child needs to feel comforted. If the parent is all like pissed off or starts panicking it makes it worse.
