Yeah you are right Arthur Brown did wear makeup first, FIRE! and Mark Bolin (forgive my spelling) of T Rex also did although I think Alice was most memorable at least in the U.S, , I've heard alot of misinformed or ignorant about the subject thinks Kiss did. It's really nothing, I'm A cooper fan till the end,give him some credit he paved the way foralot of other things, I don't have the time or space to elaborate, ask Slash he could enlighten you.

Jimi was the man back in the day,.his distortion and effects are still copied today.Alice was also the man,Frank Zappa struck gold with him, he was the first with alot of things also (makeup, theatrics, vaudville rock, shock rock ect) He was the M. manson of the 70's,all our parents hated him. He also got alot of bands famous. We had never heard of AC-DC til they opened up for him, guns and roses opened for him on the appetite for destruction tour (they were way better when they opened for Alice

Yeah, great song. Best version is of course the original by Hendrix, but this Cooper's version is kinda nice too.

Sorry, but this kicks the shit out of Hendrix's version. Alice is a vastly superior singer to Jimi, and Alice's band tear into the song with a venom that the original did not have.
