being an authority on the subject lol.. it takes a very pumped up ball and the right jump.. i've never put it down myself, don't know anyone who has on eight or ten.. i've come close, it's a commonly requested dunk i've gotten but can't get it done..

i been trying it.. tried in gym, and on concrete.. it's a tough dunk.. i'm talking even with out the off the glass which would take immaculate timing and bounce of the ball.. it would be a SICK dunk thought..

I think that dunk is impossible. If humans could stay in the air for 5 seconds then yes it's possible. But Sports Science proved that no human can be in the air for more than 1 second.

Gravity is something else...

Sport Science was actually wrong about that. Long story short (I did the physics behind it) you'd need to jump just over 48 inches to be in the air for one second.

In the episode BEFORE the one where they "proved" that, they had a guy on who they said had a 50-inch vertical leap.

It was actually pretty pathetic for a show that claims to inform people about physics.

Might be better if you do it without the backboard. Re-bounce it after a normal floor-bounce lob, then dunk it. In theory, of course.
