ONe thing people fail to educate themselves on is WHY pit's are used in fighting and so mistaken for a violent breed. The Pit was bread as a guard dog. They were even once used as babsitter for small kids. They are an incrediblly loyal breed and will fight to the death to protect it's owner. This high desire to please it's owner is why they were chosen as fighting dogs. If raised properly they make great family pets and wonderful for protection.

Hello there! I'm Marcia, and I am owned by three bullies (an APBT, a Staffy and an American Bulldog). Last year, it was four (another APBT), but my oldest passed away. Interestingly, he was an ex-fighter...and after I adopted him off death row in the local pound, lived out the rest of his days sharing a house with other dogs including a Rottweiler, and also cats and kittens, a snake and a rabbit. With NO attacks, fights or problems. No miracle - just intelligent ownership and training.

I had an AmStaff before I got my Pit and the only difference is build. The attitudes are the same, the energy and personality is basically the same. The AmStaff and APBT are cousins. NOT one is purebred and one is a mutt.
Haven't you ever heard of "Husky" as a general term for several breeds of sled dogs. Same thing. "Pitbull" is just a general term for the bully breeds.
Its like me saying the Alaskan Malamute is the purebreed and the Siberian Husky is just an inbred mutt. Or the Cane Corso is the purebreed and the Mastiff is the mutt. They are ALL different breeds.

Alright peeps! I'm very proud to announce my family and I just purchased an APBT from a local rescue. He's 4 months and a little under weight. SO.....here's what I'm planning. I'm planning to document how a rescued Pit will live a happy, non-attacking life. He adores my 2 girls and pregnant wife.

Almost twenty years ago, our family lived down the street from a couple that adopted a pit puppy, and raised him with their son who was also just a few months old at the time of the pup's adoption. When the dog turned 3, it abruptly attacked and killed the three year old boy. These were good people who heaped much love and training on their young pit. I sincerely hope your new addition does not kill one of your children.

I searched for a Pit Bull attack with the information you provided and I was unable to find the news article. (I'm sure there was one) If you could give me the link or a copy to the actual news article, I'm sure I can give you an explanation as to WHY this Pit would attack and take a life. Yes, 3. I searched the Marin Independent Journal and can't find it; but I tried to find other old stories that didn't come up so I'm guessing they don't have a searchable archive past some date. As the story goes, the mother gave the child a cracker or cookie and when he turned away from the pit, it pounced on him. She was right there, saw everything and couldn't stop the attack - the dog wouldn't release. The dog had never been aggressive toward people, much less his best friend prior to this.
I remember hearing the story again and asking questions when I got older. I'm thinking it was more than 20 years ago. But I remember the talk in my family (cops-fire-er doc) of the exhaustive investigation. I know the kid was transported by Rescue 50, did not resuscitate at Kaiser ER, and the incident was investigated by SRPD and Coroner Ken Holmes. Witnesses vouched for the dog's friendly nature, obedience, training, etc. The only causative factor pit bull!

The ONLY article that comes up in San Fransico area is in 1987. 2 1/2 y.o. Morgan Hill boy that was killed after wandering into a neighbor's yard after the mother placed him on the patio and was attacked by the neighbors dog which he happened to be in dogfighting. I would've thought another story around the same time would've definently come up but I couldn't find one. Including (san rafael, santa rosa, & SF)
No need to look beyond San Rafael. I know for a fact it happened in San Rafael right around that time. For a fact that Rescue 50, SRFD transported him. For a fact that he was transported and pronounced dead at Kaiser Terra Linda ER, (north San Rafael) after Rescue 50 worked him as a code.

Wouldn't that just be food aggression? The mother gives the boy a cookie from the cabinet, the dog takes interest in the snack and the boy turns away to protect it. (If you have dogs and kids, you've seen this.) The pit sees this as a challenge from a non-dominant family member and launches the attack, killing the child. I think it's just food aggression, pit bull style.
It could be food aggression, but guess what, EVERY dog has that. Food agression is a BASIC command every dog should learn. Your friends should've known that.
And secondly, "challenge from a non-dominant family member" THAT, right there, tells me the mother did not properly train the dog to submit to every person in the family.
I, personally have my girls feed, walk, and discipline my Pits so it knows the FAMILY is boss, not just the adults. Every family member must be a master to the pet.
They had a dog that was dominant to their child, and handed food to the child on the dog's level? It sounds as though they may have meant well, but understood nothing about canine society and pack order. The ranking member will ALWAYS take food away or try to from the subordinate, unless food is distributed equally at the same time. That's just common sense. Dogs don't live by human instinct - they follow their own, and all the 'nice' in the world won't change it.
I'm just doing a video, on vicious dogs like told us by media and the truth they don't say. It's on dobermanns, because on those dogs i know a lot of cases, but the concept is the same.

Maybe it is good idea to start collecting info on dog attacks from all the areas where pit bulls were banned (after they were banned) - I believe those areas have same number of dog attacks like they had before they banned pit bulls.
He has deactivate comments, to be sure that NOTHING could threaten his paranoic obsession. But he sure reads these comments, and here he can't prevent us to write. So i'll say something. I've heard of a lot of inexplicable attacks of various vicious dogs.
- I was not there > i couldn't know facts.

- NEVER media gave the complete story. Or it was ignorance of the reporter, or facts deliberately were cut of a part.
1) dobermann attacks the owner (local tv). omitted part: it was the first time that the dog viewed his owner, owner that lived elsewhere, that was only one of their properties.
2) rottweilers kill child and seriously hurt grandma (journals). omitted part: the dogs were ALWAYS chained, they never were free (never seen that person). Grandma beated one of them with her umbrella, when they got near her end the child.
Now, how can we be sure of what happened, BESIDES what told us zupf? He doesn't care, we all know, but something is happened. The child cried out? She started to run? Her mom waved something in front of the dog?
Anyway, like usual it's the owner fault: dog keeped isolated and escaped, dog not trained and accustomed to people, and so on.

I don't like all the attention that the APBT bite/maul/killing videos get either BUT let's not pretend that our breed isn't involved. To dismiss each bite as hysteria or to assign blame to the owner or the victim is overlooking the fact that the APBT *is* responsible for some horrible acts. The best recourse is having stable, friendly APBTs and peer pressure on those whose dogs need training/socialization. ONe thing people fail to educate themselves on is WHY pit's are used in fighting and so mistaken for a violent breed. The Pit was bread as a guard dog. They were even once used as babsitter for small kids. They are an incrediblly loyal breed and will fight to the death to protect it's owner. This high desire to please it's owner is why they were chosen as fighting dogs. If raised properly they make great family pets and wonderful for protection.

(On one video, he failed to link to the article showing that the mother of the boy attacked had drugs lying around the house that the dog could have eaten.)

In what way has the media scientifically proven pits are naturally vicious? I've never seen anything on the news that suggests scientific evidence to support your claim. In fact, all there is on the news when it comes to pit bulls is a bunch of stories of them attacking people. Doesn't sound scientific to me!

August 18, 2007. A lab mix attacked a 70 year-old man sending him to the hospital in critical condition. Police officers arived at the scene and the dog was shot after charging the officers. This incident was reported in one article and only in the local paper.

Check out these test results for the dog breeds commonly referred to as pit bulls. These are from the ATTS, and came out in December of 2008
American Pit Bull Terrior. 665 tested, 567 passed, 98 failed, overall score? 85.3%.
American Staferdshire Terrior. 570 tested, 478 passed, 92 failed, overall score? 83.9%.
Staferdshire Bull Terrior. 92 tested, 81 passed, 11 failed, overall score? 88.0%.

The American Temprement Test Society tests about 123 dog breeds each year, and overall, pit bulls have performed pretty well compared to other breeds. There's just a small portion of my research. So now, lets see yours.

That is not the only problem! pitbulls on three foot chains, no shots, running lose, and bad breeding pratices if you dont show the dog you dont have the right ot breed, people with no breeders license. Starving dogs. The only way to really save the breed is to limit who can breed them and who can own them! Really want pitbulls treated right also make criminal checks on potenial owners!

Forgot to add, that no - I have no criminal record whatsoever. Have not even had a speeding ticket in over 15 years. I'd fall into upper-middle class designation by my career (movie advertising), and live in the Knollwood area of Granada Hills, CA.

Hello there! I'm Marcia, and I am owned by three bullies (an APBT, a Staffy and an American Bulldog). Last year, it was four (another APBT), but my oldest passed away. Interestingly, he was an ex-fighter...and after I adopted him off death row in the local pound, lived out the rest of his days sharing a house with other dogs including a Rottweiler, and also cats and kittens, a snake and a rabbit. With NO attacks, fights or problems. No miracle - just intelligent ownership and training.

I had an AmStaff before I got my Pit and the only difference is build. The attitudes are the same, the energy and personality is basically the same. The AmStaff and APBT are cousins. NOT one is purebred and one is a mutt.
Haven't you ever heard of "Husky" as a general term for several breeds of sled dogs. Same thing. "Pitbull" is just a general term for the bully breeds.

Alright peeps! I'm very proud to announce my family and I just purchased an APBT from a local rescue. He's 4 months and a little under weight. SO.....here's what I'm planning. I'm planning to document how a rescued Pit will live a happy, non-attacking life. He adores my 2 girls and pregnant wife.

Almost twenty years ago, our family lived down the street from a couple that adopted a pit puppy, and raised him with their son who was also just a few months old at the time of the pup's adoption. When the dog turned 3, it abruptly attacked and killed the three year old boy. These were good people who heaped much love and training on their young pit. I sincerely hope your new addition does not kill one of your children.

I searched for a Pit Bull attack with the information you provided and I was unable to find the news article. (I'm sure there was one) If you could give me the link or a copy to the actual news article, I'm sure I can give you an explanation as to WHY this Pit would attack and take a life. My sympathies to your friends.

Yes, 3. I searched the Marin Independent Journal and can't find it; but I tried to find other old stories that didn't come up so I'm guessing they don't have a searchable archive past some date. As the story goes, the mother gave the child a cracker or cookie and when he turned away from the pit, it pounced on him. She was right there, saw everything and couldn't stop the attack - the dog wouldn't release. The dog had never been aggressive toward people, much less his best friend prior to this.

I remember hearing the story again and asking questions when I got older. I'm thinking it was more than 20 years ago. But I remember the talk in my family (cops-fire-er doc) of the exhaustive investigation. I know the kid was transported by Rescue 50, did not resuscitate at Kaiser ER, and the incident was investigated by SRPD and Coroner Ken Holmes. Witnesses vouched for the dog's friendly nature, obedience, training, etc. The only causative factor pit bull!

Well after extensive searches here are my thoughts on your topic.
The ONLY article that comes up in San Fransico area is in 1987. 2 1/2 y.o. Morgan Hill boy that was killed after wandering into a neighbor's yard after the mother placed him on the patio and was attacked by the neighbors dog which he happened to be in dogfighting. I would've thought another story around the same time would've definently come up but I couldn't find one. Including (san rafael, santa rosa, & SF)

No need to look beyond San Rafael. I know for a fact it happened in San Rafael right around that time. For a fact that Rescue 50, SRFD transported him. For a fact that he was transported and pronounced dead at Kaiser Terra Linda ER, (north San Rafael) after Rescue 50 worked him as a code.

Wouldn't that just be food aggression? The mother gives the boy a cookie from the cabinet, the dog takes interest in the snack and the boy turns away to protect it. (If you have dogs and kids, you've seen this.) The pit sees this as a challenge from a non-dominant family member and launches the attack, killing the child. I think it's just food aggression, pit bull style.

It could be food aggression, but guess what, EVERY dog has that. Food agression is a BASIC command every dog should learn. Your friends should've known that.
And secondly, "challenge from a non-dominant family member" THAT, right there, tells me the mother did not properly train the dog to submit to every person in the family.
I, personally have my girls feed, walk, and discipline my Pits so it knows the FAMILY is boss, not just the adults. Every family member must be a master to the pet.

They had a dog that was dominant to their child, and handed food to the child on the dog's level? It sounds as though they may have meant well, but understood nothing about canine society and pack order. The ranking member will ALWAYS take food away or try to from the subordinate, unless food is distributed equally at the same time. That's just common sense. Dogs don't live by human instinct - they follow their own, and all the 'nice' in the world won't change it.

Zupf posted another one on a 9yr. old boy that put a rear naked choke on the Pit. The news anchor totally hacked this story up.
"A viscious Pitbull, LIKE THIS ONE PICTURED".
Reporter also said: stopped this viscious dog

I'm just doing a video, on vicious dogs like told us by media and the truth they don't say. It's on dobermanns, because on those dogs i know a lot of cases, but the concept is the same.
In the case of the Bowling Green attack you told that in the article was written something about bad living conditions of the dog, often they tell NOTHING.
However, i insist: zupf has a different problem.

And a little insight about the Bowling Green attack. The dog's leash and collar were made of chain and duct tape, the owner SHOULD'VE quarantined the dog instead of attacking the jumping and screaming girl in the basement, which probably provoked the 2nd attack. However, in the article there are statements reading the dog lived in "unfair living conditions"

Hey, run and look at the last video of our friend, it's indescribable: he tries to demonstrate in that way the dangerousness of the pit bulls, as if the hurts derive always and only from the breed and not from dozen of other circumstances ... he has really exhausted the arguments.
I'm really starting to think he has an obsessional neurosis, he hasn't a clear mind.
And this could explain his behavior.

I'm sure that if he told here their reasons, a lot of people could understand him; but so it's impossible to understand *what he wants*, WHY, he has this behavior. And what's the use, for him, of all his work.
I think he really needs help.
PS - I think he's a male, women could never be so insane, to escape in this way. Imho.

I don't look at his video no more, they have became boring.
Zupf is clearly sick, obsessed. He could have any reason to hate pitbulls: maybe a pitbull had eaten his mother/brother/son. The really insane thing is not his delirious searching and postings here videos, but it's his way to be: don't answering, don't discussing, blocking people and then blocking comments; he hides himself, he uses youtube like a kind of bucket in which knocking over his hate and his fear.

Zupf has posted a few more videos and I noticed a few things.
1.What the hell are ZEALOTS? Zupf says it all the time!
2.All the stories Zupf has are from the Eastern States like New York and Georgia.
3.The Lithonia attack, the victims asked the neglegent owner to fix the fence before the pit jumped through and attacked.
4.The model in NY. I guess Ugg Boots are too valuable cuz thats all the news reporter and Brooke say, "It bit through my ugg boot" "It bit through her Ugg"

I can't believe how much hate ZURF has in him/her.
Maybe it is good idea to start collecting info on dog attacks from all the areas where pit bulls were banned (after they were banned) - I believe those areas have same number of dog attacks like they had before they banned pit bulls.

He has deactivate comments, to be sure that NOTHING could threaten his paranoic obsession. But he sure reads these comments, and here he can't prevent us to write. So i'll say something. I've heard of a lot of inexplicable attacks of various vicious dogs.
- I was not there > i couldn't know facts.
- All the times i knew the story/situation, there was an obvious explanation.
- NEVER media gave the complete story. Or it was ignorance of the reporter, or facts deliberately were cut of a part.

2 examples:
1) dobermann attacks the owner (local tv). omitted part: it was the first time that the dog viewed his owner, owner that lived elsewhere, that was only one of their properties.
2) rottweilers kill child and seriously hurt grandma (journals). omitted part: the dogs were ALWAYS chained, they never were free (never seen that person). Grandma beated one of them with her umbrella, when they got near her end the child.

Now, how can we be sure of what happened, BESIDES what told us zupf? He doesn't care, we all know, but something is happened. The child cried out? She started to run? Her mom waved something in front of the dog?
Anyway, like usual it's the owner fault: dog keeped isolated and escaped, dog not trained and accustomed to people, and so on.
Dear guys, a dog has not a software preinstalled, it's necessary to teach him all the things. Like at a child.

I know, I just messaged him on the "Katie Jarmin attack" video explaining that in the article, "We are being told that a friend gave her the dog temporarily and she was waiting for her to come pick up the dog," Sexton said.
Which means the owner was not there and the lady that was in possession of the dog obviously didn't know how to keep this dog under control because it wasn't even hers!

I don't like all the attention that the APBT bite/maul/killing videos get either BUT let's not pretend that our breed isn't involved. To dismiss each bite as hysteria or to assign blame to the owner or the victim is overlooking the fact that the APBT *is* responsible for some horrible acts. The best recourse is having stable, friendly APBTs and peer pressure on those whose dogs need training/socialization. Looks ridiculous when we shrug and simply say "They're a sweet breed, look at my dog!"

No, they're not responsibles: they are dogs. They are exactly what a man have teached them to be. Their owner, their only reference in the world. I ask you: if you teach to your child to hate, to be scared of people cause they are bad; or if you teach him NOTHING, NO rules, how do you think he will be when adult? And if you let him to grow ALONE, without any contact with others, no school, no learning to read, no tv, and on? How he'll react at the first situation he doesn't know?

This is the real problem: people that think that their dog borns programmed like a fucked PC with an operative system pre installed.

we should get rid of pit bulls for ever, also we should get rid of most other animals, than we should get rid of most people who don't think as Zurf or at list to ignore them... so Zurf can feel safe till the rest of her/his miserable life.
