This was the flip side of the original 12 inch single. I too have a copy. This was the second Warner Bros. relaease after the group had left Westbound records. I was fortunate enough at the time to realize this was a special piece of musical mastery being made in the funk arena. I still have 2 copies of the origial album-one of which I played to death and one which is unopened and going to be passed down to my daughter who has embraced the old school. Parents, if you play it, they will come.
I remember the record shop where we'd all hang and this really cool guy named Tommy pulled this "instrumental" version out knowing it would knock me right on my ass. Talk about some nasty music....still today over 30 years later it hails as one of the funkiest joints ever put on wax. Don't think you can find a copy today.
wow computer love!? i made my own too. but if u have the original i think i really2 want it x) please send it if its not troublin' u of course. i'll inbox'd u my email. anyway cool vids! ;)
Do you have the re mix of F- Encounter by Bootsy, now that was a killer track too and it was way better the version from the Ultra Wave album,my bad CD.
I remember this from 1978. Richmond Va. We had 'soul stations' then. R&B was not a term really used in our communities. All this B.C.-' Before Crack." We had a lot of fun in those days, house parties, block parties, skating rinks, no shooting.....
I'm right there with you Baby! Back in Cincinnati Ohio. Wish we could get our S#!T together in the music world and do it again! Come on Black People....we can do this!
Im 20, white like snow, not from US but Poland but I agree. Today all parties are like gang meetings, too much alkohol, drugs, fighting. In my opinion there is better way of partying: dancing, listening to music, talking with nice girls, laughing with friends, having fun :). People from all world, we can do this! :))
@ddesign63 It starts with teaching our kids how to play musical instruments first, the schools are not going to do it in fact they’re trying to cut music classes….
tthank you thank you on day I was riden home from work 5or so years ago only heard it once been looking and listen for it every since I truely thank you very much this is the truth this is like hearing the power of RA
there will never be another axe line up like michael hampton, eddie hazel, gary shider, and glenn goins ever again. that line up to me is pure unadulterated funk to the 101st power. i cut my teeth on this shit
I was lucky to have gotten my hands on a copy of this when it originally came out. It was the bomb when you mixed it in with the original..No one else i knew had this and they used to ask me about it all the time.
This shit is FUNKY!!

I had a friend in high school who's brother was a "Disco" DJ and was serviced with this record--- and had no use for it! It was mine! Still got it!
