I think that this is almost the saddest song that anyone has ever written from the heart ! It is difficult to lose a loved animal.My dog died the same year, he was 9 years old and he died because someone threw a firecracker at him and his heart stopped working,I made him a letter that says that he will always be in our hearts and i put it in his grave and I also gave him some money to buy himselfe a ticket to heaven...I know its silly but i really loved him !

Hey im sorry for your loss, 11 years for a chinchilla is very good. Even though people say the life expectancy is 15-20 years for chinchillas they are "fragile" animals, their GI track and teeth can have alot of complications. I bet he was a happy chin with you and you should be proud.

he was on his side one night and i decided to give him water with medecine in it and when he was drinking i tried to feed him but he wouldnt eat. i didnt know what to do and i was really tired and i couldnt help but go to bed. giving him water and food was the last time i ever saw him alive and the last time i actually ever saw him. i buried him when i got home from school and couldnt sleep tht night.

i had a guinea pig and he was only about a month old and he died:

me and my dad built a cage without a top on it and we set it in our laundry room and one day me, my dad, and my mom were outside, and we heard a loud squeaking so we checked in the laundry room and he was bleeding in a corner and my cat was attacking him. we wiped up his blood and gave him medecine. he didnt seem bad at 1st but then he started to get worse. he couldnt move and he would roll over and not get up.

The only time i cried so much is when i lost my best friend, Maxamillian. He got hit by a car and the man said if i needed thing he would do it no matter what so, i punched him so hard in the jaw fracturing hit and then i shook his hand got my dogs body and cried my heart for 3 days

I am crying my eyes out now cause it reminds me of my baby Lilium and how she died. We took her to a vet and they didn't know what was wrong with her and she died later that day. I was very heart broken since I still considered her a baby since she was only a year old. RIP Lucky and Lilium. We miss you :'(

@2sierra345243 my chinchila died the next day of my birthday, 26-08-10,that day i bought her a brand new huge cage,it was big and she was playing around all day, at night i took her to play with her, she went under the couch and when i picked it up i guess i hit her cause she was standind in the other corner of the couch. she run to her cage and two steps before going in she fall down.

i took her to my hands, she start crying and making loud noices. she was holding my finger really hard, after that and when she was looking better blood start coming out of her mouth and nose, she left her last breaths looking at me. i feel such an ass for not being carefull that night,it was totally my mistake, i could give anything to bring her back, its sad that we only hurt those we love most. i hope u guys be more carefull with ur chinchillas. sorry if i made u bored with my story

you know I moved out of LA 10 years agoI was as you know very involved with the industry and knew how to reach just about anyone. Now i make an amazing music living..but its done by sending files to Hollywood am sorry that i didnt know what I know.now..years ago I was on shows ..billed with Aretha did TV with Madonna(grammys),. they sure can sing.but I would give them a piece of my mind about their coats and attitude. next time Aretha sings RESPECT it would be for our chinnies

My chinchilla ave birth, one of them were weak, and i found two days later struggling to be alive, his limbs were broken, i fed him through a tube, on the next morning, like i prayed to god, let him live until the morning, he did, but as i was feeding him, he started twitching, and in my hands he died, i was going to call him lucky,damn,my eyes are watering,you know, i loved him, he only lived for a weekend, a weekend,and his life was planned to be this.i hope hes in a better world right now...

Some people breed for money, some people breed because they have their own feelings for them.For me, i treated my chinchilla's as humans, humans want a family too,they want children, someone to love, and thats what i see in them, i wanted to make them happy too, but things like this happen, and its a mystery of how he died,i never said goodbye.Im very attached to these wonderful animals,but i feel sorry for that little poor baby chinchilla.

those of us who want chinchillas to be healthy go to pro breeders IF WE MUST ..as they know the genetics for 3 generations or more

breeding at home often leads to malocclusion, diabetes, and all sorts of horrible situations,..

chinchillas do not have "families" like we have..

however I completely understand your sensitive human feelings

please do not breed at home

rescue a chinchilla

there are 10's of 1000's cause people dont study them before, or breed at home

Oh, I am so sorry. I also lost my baby chinchilla: a week ago, He was so damn cute. My cat got to him... I was too stupid to take down the gaurd so the chin got out, I walked in my room and my heart instantly broke. Also lost his sister, the day after she was born.
