@ErieBoy62 This is the Limburg Volkslied. It is longer than in this clip because it has 4 parts. But the last of those 4 parts is only sung in the dutch part of Limburg, because that verse is about the loyalty to the dutch dynasty of Orange.
After 1830 (belgian independence) Limburg was split into a Belgian and Dutch part so in Belgium there are only three strophes.
I love this clip. I wish it was longer because it is a very, very nice anthem. I could listen to it over and over. Someone please educate me here. Is this also known as the Limburg Volkslied? Any help would be greatly appreciated by this ever curious Yankee.
@ErieBoy62 Yes, it's also known as 'Limburgs Volkslied', Limburg Hymne or Limburg mijn Vaderland (original title). There are several longer versions on youtube under those names.
@222jimy Only that's a town not a province. Big difference. And I doubt it very much if Limburg ad Lahn is better. I've been there many times and eventhough I used to love it I don't know what they're doing to it now because the last time was terrible. And that's only a couple of months ago. Looks like Italy took over there.

It used to be 1 province, but in 1830 when Belgium became independant from Holland, it was separated into a Belgian part and a part of The Netherlands. Many inhabitans of Limburg still don't think in terms of "Belgian Limburg" or "Dutch Limburg" but they consider themselves as "Limburgers" and don't look at the real borders.

Limburg is conected to Germany and Belgium and the people are very well known for their joy of live and there likings of good food and drinks. Andre Rieu is born in Maastricht and every year he had a concert at the Maastricht Vrijthof ( square ) Best regards from Limburg
Problem with people from Maastricht: They think they are better as the rest of the province Limburg. Its more chauvenistic as the French people from Pais
