1:32, That was a great play by Manning and Harrison that I remember, Amazing how they were Always on the same page as one another. My fav duo next to Montana-Rice.
Peyton Manning is way better than Tom Brady. People always want to talk about rings, but what most people dont understand is winning a SB is a team accomplishment. The patriots had one of the best defenses and also the best coach maybe of all times, who was cheating at the time,on their team. Also people talk about talent, Belichck pick people who he knows is going to thrive in their offense. If you saw best players of all times list on NFL N Manning was #8 and Brady #21 Manning Fan Vote was #5
I feel ya, Patriots were a better all together team, which is why they won superbowls. But Peyton is a better QB, that's why my Colts are 0-10 right now, that should show even more how good of a QB he is/was.
@BuddyTheWhiteKnight tom brady is better than manning. brady won superbowls with bum Wrs (david givens, troy brown, deion branch and david patton) who never had a 1000 yard seasons. look at bradys RBs (antowain smith, kevin faulk and corey dillon in his last real season)....peyton manning will have a hall of fame RB and two hall of fame WRs.
Well I have to thank you for being one of the people who actually recognizes other skilled players on the team besides Peyton.....People only think Wr's Like Harrison and Wayne were good because of Peyton but that's not true....I'm not big on the debate of Peyton Vs. Brady, He's not the only reason I love the Colts.
@BuddyTheWhiteKnight if marvin harrison was not good why did all the afc QBs say they couldnt wait to throw to him. I dont see peyton manning winning with them guys.
Yes, Marvin Harrison was hands down one of the best receivers to play the game. But if you really watch, lots of the plays are ue to Peyton Mannings incerdible athleticism. He hits Harrison inside of a window between defenders thats open for a split second. He hits him in perfect stride while on he run. Im not saying Harrison was overrated, Im just saying that Manning is worthy of the same respect.
@TrollinYourVids1 I agree completely! Jerry Rice is the best ever but at the same time, if he didn't have joe montana and steve young as his qb's you'd never know if his stats woulda been the same... same with shannon sharpe and rod smith with elway.
@fatriani Nobody has more catches than Jerry Rice dumbass. Jerry has every record in WR History except for that single season touchdown record. Btw, Randy has more catches than Marvin.
i had to watch this on mute, i'm really starting to hate rap, especially that gutter gangster stuff, maybe some1 could redo this to some real music like the old nfl films music, that would be nice, anyway, nice video(on mute) this is 1 of my favorite receivers!!
peyton manning=one of the best qb's ever, marvin harrison and reggie wayne=one of the best wide recievers combonation, dwight freeny and robert mathis=the best defensive end combination i've ever seen. go colts!
@ligitgha1 Ur an idiot. Watch some game tape. Colts oline sucks. why do think they spent their top two picks retooling? the only reason why Peyton does not get sacked and is able to get off passes is his uncanny ability to move around in the pocket and be able to sense pass rushers.
@Gungho92 stupid clown, I'm not talking about Colts OLine from 2010-11, I'm talking about Colts OLine from when Peyton and Harrison were setting records..
peyton gets too much credit for this guys success....like brady with moss.....the qbs did make some badass throws but come on, average receivers wouldnt make 70 percent of those catches.....marvin harrison is the shit....him,faulk,wayne,edgerrin james, made peyton manning....with average wr like in the rams today, he wouldnt do anything.....marvin would catch 20 tds with trent dilfer....thats why marvin is a hof
ppl already know moss was successful before teaming with brady. wayne, harrison, edge all team with peyton and they all compliment one another. dont try to down play peyton as an ave qb. marvin catching 20 td with trent dilfer? so are you trying to say dilfer is an elite qb, pathetic i must say. we know marvin is a hof dont try to discredit his qb.
@MrBennyMack um clearly ur retared hes the best qb i ever seen play in my life sure hes not better den joe montanna but hes defently better brett farve nd tom brady
when you watch owens play, you see ball dropping on the field; when you watch moss play, you see "dancing with the ball"; when you watch Harrison play, you see a 6-0ft 185 lbs guy run to the left - to the right, and TOUCHDOWNS!! then get up and say "Let's do it again!"
The separation Marvin use to get with out being physical was amazing, his speed, quickness and nose for the ball always had him wide open. Watching these higlights I'm sitting and thinking "damn, I don't remember Marvin being this open".. He was an amazing receiver. The first Authentic NFL jersey I brought!
gonna miss marvin but hey, we remember these catches plus many more. Most were on patriots, worst scumbags known for cheating and other sh*t, but damn watching this is inspirational. he and edge helped build this team. thats why edge got a ring after the super bowl. we will rise again and again and take down the patriots like the giants over the undefeted patriots in superbowl 42. best day ever! good luck to the colts in the future and let nobody forget this team! rate up
marvin harrison is the best receiver to play the game and no one will ever change that colts are the best football team ever manning is amazing and we all miss harrison
Watching this vid makes me really miss Harrison. He was a key member that helped bring a superbowl home to Indy and will go down as one of the best!!!!
A pro at the double move and sideline/endzone catches. Sized at a mere 6'0, 175lbs. Moss, take out your notepad. Matter of fact, don't even worry about it. You're a scrub at this point
This is why Peyton Manning was so great. At one point in time, Manning had Harrison, Clark, and Reggie Wayne working the field. Peyton Manning's greatness is aided by his great FHOF receivers. But, ESPN and all other sports reporters will have you believe that Peyton plays with a bunch of scrubs. SMFH...
@Chimera1591 wow youre stupid, if you could run a 4.45 id be fucking amazed, for one, 4.45 isnt average dumb shit, dez bryant, the #1 wr recruit this year ran a 5.57 and a 5.53 so... and he fucking turned austin collie into the highest rookie catch record ever with 60, and the reason he hasnt made mediocre players look good, is cuz every receiver he has looks good, cuz they have peyton manning! fuck.
@Dargo7777,@Dargo7777, Dez Bryant ran a 40 in 4.52. I ran track in Highschool, a 4.45 isn't impressive. Tom Brady runs the 40 yard in 5.05, which is also the speed of most OL/DLmen. And ofcourse Collie caught 60 balls,The rookie recored is actually 101 receotions by Boldin in 2003, and he was tied with Percy Harvin most catches by a rookie WR THIS SEASON. And Collie played on a team that defenders had to double Clark and Wayne, Collie is a pretty good WR.
@Dargo7777,Collie was in the top 5 in nearly every WR statistic of NCAAF in his final season at BYU. All of Peyton Manning's receivers were really good in college. He didn't make any of them, they made a name for themselves in college.
@Chimera1591 collie played at BYU! since when has BYU even been on the radar? they arent really a big mid major, only that i can think of are utah and boise state. cmon now, peyotn makes them, they dont make themselves, pierre wasnt even heard of until this season, and btw collie wouldnt be impressive without peyton, i actually saw pierre drop a lot of passes this year, key passes, and reggie is the only receiver besides clark with legitimate talent,
@Dargo7777, Uhmm... you might want to ask Steve Young what BYU can produce. And I know a 4.45 is fast, I ran it, I'm faster than average. But in the NFL, a 4.45 is not impressive.
Austin Collie BYU stats 2008,
Number 1 in receiving yards per game, number 1 in total yards receiving, tied with Michael Crabtree for most consecutive 100 yard games, 3rd in receiving yards per games and total receptions, 4th in TDs. These stats are against every WR in NCAA.
@Chimera1591 oh and by the way, a 4.45 is extremely fast, honestly, if you can actually and legitimately keep that pace, maybe you should actually look into a pro sport, although, i know you dont, its still something to think about. there isnt a way in hell you run a 4.45 and call that "slow"... thats ridiculous.
@Chimera1591 BUT AUSTIN PLAYED AGAINST TERRIBLE TEAMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND THE CONCEPT OF PLAYING EASIER TEAMS= BETTER STATS. he doesnt play top level competition! and actually a 4.45 is very fast!!! the max (potential p.o.v) for nfl scouts on wr is 4.35 and min is 4.55 and thats for wr's! you dont run a 4.45 yorue fucking nuts.
@Dargo7777, tell me, where did Randy Moss play college Football? Where did Marvin Harrison play Football? Where did Jerry Rice play Football?
I'll tell you... Moss-man played for Marshall, Harrison played for Syracuse and Jerry Rice played for MVS. When I think about Football schools, none of these pop into my mind.
@Chimera1591 for one, syracuse is a big school, and im not saying mid majors dont produce great players, but seriously now, most of the time good players come from big schools, you cant deny that. and im just saying peyton makes his receivers great, its just how it is, the receivers he has besides reggie and clark and kind of garcon are mediocre.
@Dargo7777, But I've just told you that Peyton's receivers were all really good in college, whether they were good in BYU or good at Oklahoma, they were still very good receivers in college. QBs that make their WRs are Brady and Brees. Before Brady had Moss and Welker, his best receiver was Deion Branch. Brady won 2 SB rings with Branch. Brees has Meachem, Henderson, and Moore on his roster. If you can name their first names I will be impressed.
@Chimera1591 alright i swear to god on my life, i know all their names by heart.. drew has good receivers, here goes. marques colston, robert meachem, devery henderson and lance moore, dude theyre all big names, especially in fantasy.
@Chimera1591 btw, peyton makes his receivers!! deion branch was considered a great wr back in the day, he was mvp in the sb! and brees always basically had colston, who is good, and bradys always had good receivers as well, but i agree, both peyton, and brady, and even brees, all make the receivers, peyton is good without his receivers jesus christ.
@Dargo7777, Branch was never considered a good WR. Branch was an average WR. Brady made him look like a superstar. And Brees may have Colston, but he spreads the wealth. Peyton has a superstar at 3/4 of his receivers. He can look for the FHOF in Wayne, FHOF Clark, hell, if Dez Bryant falls to pick 31, I say the Colts will go after him, too.
@Chimera1591 your comment about dez was completely retarded, its like saying "well if sam bradford falls to pick 250 then the buffalo bills would probably take him!", well of course the colts would take him at pick 31, thatd be a fucking steal, dont pull stupid analogies out the ass, and are you fucking stupid, reggie and clark are only good receivers, brady has welker and moss who are both considered superstars, and peyton spreads the wealth better than any other qb, even better than brees
@Chimera1591 oh and brees is 2nd only to peyton, brees has a couple of good wrs, 2 or 3, including colston, JEREMY SHOCKEY!, devery henderson, lance moore.... its like are you kidding me the colts wr core is good, but not great,
@Dargo7777, Neither Brees nor Peyton is better than Tom Brady. Brady had a down year this year. It's expected from a QB who just had reconstructive knee surgery (Peyton's stats in 2008, 27 TDs 14 picks, Brady's stats 28 TDs 13 picks. Give Brady a healthy outside WR to compliment Moss and Edelman (we'll have to go with out White Wes until week 7, but Belichick will keep him out until playoff time) and Brady will win the Superbowl this year. That's something you can't say about Peyton Manning.
@Chimera1591 yo bro i respect tom brady he is a elite qb but he is NOT better qb than peyton manning.... wr shouldnt be a prob u guys got superstars wrs in moss n welker & we got wayne n clark superstars.... yes we got garcon collie & gonzo wen hes healthy but they are not proven yet they still need to prove themselves in being great wrs
@GUnit01011, Wayne and Clark are two elite WRs. Garcon and Collie are really good WRs. Sure, the Pats have Moss, who is better than any of the Colts' WRs, and Welker, but after that the Pats have nothing. This season, Tom has a TE that has the potential to be all as good as Clark in Gronkowski. Holt can play the Wayne role, Moss plays Garcon, Price will be the Collie. If Tom stays healthy, I bet he throws more TDs than Manning and Brees.
@Chimera1591...the pats rain is finished...right now its the colts turn, in the last 2 years they have filled in the missing pieces and now added depth. they got to the SB last year and had injuries, coaching changes, young players etc...the colts will be in the SB unless a significant injury occurs (manning)
@Fvantagio15, First off, the two arichetects of the dynasty are still in place-- Belichick and Brady-- the Colts will never win another SB ever again, the had their chance. This was their year. The three teams that usually own Peyton Manning in the playoffs-- Pats, Chargers, and Steelers-- were all knocked out before they got a chance to face him. The Jets did Peyton a favor by knocking out the Chargers. Peyton 'unclutch' Manning blew the only chance Indy had of wining another SB.
@Chimera1591 wrong the architects were, bruschi, harrison, vrabel and that defense as well as brady and bilicheck. colts "werent even supposed to make play offs this year" according to most "experts" but they were the second best team in the nfl, with a 4th round and an undrafted free agent starting in th secondary, new d coodinator, switches in the LB core, injuries at reciver as well as young guys forced into the starting role, addai coming back from injury. this team is just beginning to peak
@Fvantagio15, funny thing about Vrabel, he was a bum before he entered Belichick's system. Bruschi, he wasn't the great LB he was in Pete Carroll's defense that he was in Belichick's. Harrison was a damn good player, but the Pats won the SB with Milloy before Harrison. And you want to talk about injuries? Brady was nursing a knee, ribs, finger. Moss was playing with a separated shoulder, our DL was totaled, Mayo was injured, Springs was our LCB, only played 5 games, AD quit.
@Chimera1591 i agree with wat GUnit01011 said and manning also had surgery on his knee 2008-2009 season i think?and he still did pretty kick ass that season he has won more mvp awards then any other qb..yes that includes brady and brees brady is good he just gets too much credit for wat moss has been doing
@deseanjackson1010, Funny, Brees has thrown more TDs, Yards, less INTs than Peyton in the last two years, and Drew won his team a Superbowl, which is something Peyton Manning choked at. Sorry, Peyton Manning is not the best in the league, he's just vastly over-hyped.
@Chimera1591 so ur saying its all about stats come on man get real stats dont mean anything!!! he is the best in the league and possibly the best ever if it werent for joe montana but hes on his way thier son
@deseanjackson1010, The only thing Peyton Manning has that backs his greatness are his stats, well, regular season stats. Brady has two more rings than him, Brady has a better post-season record (Manning is 9-9) Brady has been more clutch than Peyton, Brady has been a better leader than Peyton, Brady never threw a game losing INT in the Superbowl. All Peyton has are his stats. MVPs don't count because the writers give it to Peyton regardless if he deserves it or not.
@Chimera1591 First of all Tom Brady IS NOT a better LEADER than Peyton Manning.... I guarantee you ask any non Colt/ non Pats ( No bias) and I guarantee most will say Manning and plus weren't anyalasis questioning his leadership not that long ago (i didn't say anything about it but I could), yes 2 rings more & post season record true but Brady did choked in the Super Bowl getting sacked and almost INT by the NYG!!!!!! ps yes he does deserve his MVP!!!!
@GUnit01011, How is getting sacked choking? Getting sacked is out of your control, throwing a pick-6 with four minutes to go while your team is down by seven is choking. Brady didn't choke in Superbowl 42, the New England defense lost Superbowl 42.
@Chimera1591 dude if of all shouldn't the pats o have dominated the giants d in the first place??? they were i believed 12 point favs to win...also I could make the same excuses for colts d letting brees disect us but i dont.... Brady had 3 time-outs with :29 sec left.... if he was as good as he was supposed to be he would have at least drive down to the field to field goal position but as i said he choked!
@GUnit01011, Those odds were foolish. The Pats played the Giants just 6 weeks prior and the Giants lost by 3. The Giants were only three point underdogs actually. And 3 time-outs with 29 seconds on YOUR twenty yard line isn't giving anyone a chance to make a play. Don't be ridiculous. The Pats defense choked. All they had to do was stop that retard Eli Manning. They didn't, we lost.
@Chimera1591 I ain't because its true!!!! the first meeting between you two teams in 2007 was offensive explosion tom brady was tearing up the NYG d because he was that good but where was that offensive explosion when it matter the most in the super bowl??? where was tom brady?? the offense was suppose to be the "best ever" and they couldn't pull it off in the super bowl they choked as well as ur defense (as you say).... haha yep true eli manning owed the pats d in the end lol!!!!
@GUnit01011, Those were two different Giants teams. The Giants lost that 16th game, the Pats didn't win it. The Giants held the Pats to 14 points in the first half by getting after Tom Brady with some great blitzes. In the second half, the Giants decided to play a more conservative cover defense. Had the Giants stuck to the plane they would've won. The fact that the Pats only beat them by 3 points made the Giants feel like Gods. They rode the momentum into the playoffs. Brady didn't choke.
@Chimera1591 Even with those blitzes Pats managed to score more points (16) in 2 quarters in 16th game than the whole SB 42 game (14). the Pats D actually held the NYG O to only 10 points prior to the last drive. we don't know for sure but yeh that game help NYG confidents alot but weren't the Pats an unbeatable force too they won every game up until SB 42! If tom continue his "Greatest QB" in NFL history season he should had won period but he didn't and lost!
@Chimera1591, it's clear your just fishing for an excuse to say Tom choked, but he didn't. All Asante Samuels had to do was make an easy interception and the Pats are 19-0 Superbowl champs. He let the ball slip right out of his hands. Peyton, on the other hand, directly gift wrapped the SB to the Saints. All he had to do was take his team down the field. He didn't, he threw a pick-6. That put the Saints up by 14 and gave the Colts no chance to win. That's choking. =D
@Chimera1591 Yeh true Colts choked in SB 44 ever said they didn't with no lame excuses.... but we ain't talking about them we r talking about the Pats meltdown in SB 42 and how Tom Brady choked in the SB.... yep Asante did drop it but like i said the 2007 pats rely mostly on their offense to score alot of points & the defense never really had to stop a team in order to win in the last seconds 2007 Pats O was the highest scoring team in NFL history (560th?) they only score 14 in SB... CHOKED!!!
Yall ride Peyton Manning dick for one bad pass. He did it once and yall going to point finggers at him. If it wasn't for him they wouldn't have been in the Superbowl in the first place. Peyton Manning is going to go down in history as the best QB whoever played the game. SO IT DOSEN'T EVEN MATTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah ok buddy. I didn't see Tom Brady in the Top 10 either. I would talk trash about those players but I know that they're good. I also know that it's not over yet. Let Tom Brady get his one lucky season. Colts have Greatest Players in history everywhere.
@MrDevontae14 true statement, but when he threw 11 interceptions in 4 games i sarted worrying, but now hes back on track so the colts have a good chance to go back to the super bowl
Yall ride Peyton Manning dick for one bad pass. He did it once and yall going to point fingers at him.
@Chimera1591 Dude there's no way in hell Brady should be in the same sentence as Montana in clutch anymore (Super Bowl 42 Brady LOST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) he could win 3 more rings but he ain't clutch as Montana who NEVER lost in the Super Bowl.... Same with Manning yeh he choked up in the last minutes in the SB so he ain't the best qb ever but same as Tom Brady he choked he ain't clutch to Montana anymore...
@Chimera1591 Now your hopping on Brees stick wow thats sad.... yeh brees is freaking awesome qb i dont hate him especially when he WHOPPPED the patriots in the Superdome and made brady look like a lost soul when you compared the two in qb comparsion!!!!!!!!!! Peyton aint over-hyped he is the heart of this team.... he is the reason why Colts are championship contenders even if he sucks during the post season regardless..... without peyton the colts will be a 6-10 team the most...
@Chimera1591 youre lying now, i just looked up the stats, tom brady had 28 tds 13 picks, but Peyton manning had 33 tds 16 picks, theyre similar in td-pick ratio, and btw brady wont do shit, hes good, top 5, i admit that, but the pats are getting old... there rbs are pretty old, and the defense is just plain elderly, they cant do shit, the run defense was bad, thats why the ravens killed them last year, and then the colts beat the ravens,
@Dargo7777, I said 2008. The year that Peyton came back from his knee injury, like Tom did this year. And Taylor Price won't start this year. Price is insurance, just in case the Moss-man negotiations don't work out.
Moss, Holt, and Edelman till week 8, then Moss, Holt, and Welker in the slot. The TEs were only drafted for the first 8 weeks because with Welker out the Pats don't have a guy to run routes down the middle. I love Ron, I hope we use him. He can be Brady's Dallas Clark.
@Chimera1591 btw you guys picked up a wr in the draft, taylor price out of Ohio, great pick actually, fastest 40 time with a 4.36 i believe, and he runs great routes soft hands, easily your third guy you need, and you picked up ron gronkowski and aaron hernandez, aaron can catch the ball ron can too, and he can block decently, you had a good draft, so lets see tom use it.
@Chimera1591 i can tell youre a pats fan, the obvious reason why you doubt peyton manning, but yeah, ron should be good, so should aaron, i wonder who tom will like more? and dude, price wont start but next year he will be the slot, and welker btw fluctuates between ls wr and slot wr, but uhm maybe holt will be ls and welker slot while price or edelman is 4th? i wonder, cuz edelman isnt bad, and ron should be your starter.
@Dargo7777, Maybe Hernandez, Brady likes 6'0 receivers, but Ron will be used more around the End-zone. Nahh, Welker is always in the slot, even when the line him up on the outside he's still going to cut down the middle five yards into the play. But I fully expect Price to take over from Holt come playoff time. As of now, Edelman is the 3rd WR, when Welker comes back, Edelman is the fourth Holt is third, Wes takes on two. But Welker won't play until week 14, to get him ready for playoff football
@Chimera1591 welker's a tough guy, he will play in week 10. but uhm yeah, you guys have talented receivers, but idk about holt... you guys picked up galloway and he did nothing.. and holt may end up the same, you guys will utilize price eventually, hes much better than edelman, and welker is definitely the possession receiver.. so yeah he does go thru the middle, tom has a lot of weapons nowadays. he better succeed.
@Dargo7777, A player like Welker, who uses his legs & knees to make quick cuts, needs to take his time when rehabilitating an ACL/MCL injury -- funny, Bernard Pollard has been the reason for back-to-back Patriots MVPs to suffer the same injury-- He'll be back around week 13-16, but he won't be rushed back. The Galloway-Holt discussion is different. Two different types of WRs. Holt has always been a possession WR who needed to run crisp routes. Galloway was a go deep and catch receiver.
definately deserves to be ranked with the top recievers. harrison has the stats, records, and the ring but one thing he did that makes him great was that he was never a trash talker. he kept quiet and let his play do the talk.
He does have a Super Bowl ring. Didn't u watch Super Bowl 41? The Colts beat the Bears 29-17. Harrison didn't have a touchdown in the game but had 5 catches for about 60 yards
On my All-Pro team, I would have Marvin Harrison and Jerry Rice as the outside WRs, John Elway at QB, Barry Sanders, Jim Brown, and Terrel Davis at RB, Shannon Sharpe at TE, Cris Carter at slot reciever, Ronnie Lott and Steve Atwater at FS and SS, Rod Woodson and Dieon Sanders at CB, Reggie White and Michael Strahan at DE, and Lawrence Taylor, Ray Lewis, Jack Lambert, and Mike Singletary at LB. I like 3-4 defense.
but anyway my point is...see, these recievers have different skills, and they are different from eachother in many ways . and if im wrong i have an example...tom brady throws it up to randy moss regardless whos covering him , (even if hes being sticked)cause of his jumping abilities...but you wouldnt see that to desean jackson. only when desean breaks someones ankles and has a good 3-4 steps ahead they will throw it deep ... but its hard to compare recievers when they are different in abilities.
Thats true. Every receiver is different. Some are known for hands, like Larry Fitzgerald, Anquan Boldin or Brandon Marshall, others are deep threats, like Desean Jackson, Randy Moss, Steve Smith(Panthers), Greg Jennings, Donald Driver, or Plaxico Buress, or Marvin Harrison, Reggie Wayne.
I forgot to mention Andre Johnson. He is also a great receiver. He's a deep threat like Randy Moss. I like those types of receivers. I don't really like possession receivers because they don't have blazing speed. I like when bad DBs and overrated DBs get burned by deep threats.
Yeah he was pretty fast....

ligitgha1 9 months ago
@ligitgha1 Ur an idiot. Watch some game tape. Colts oline sucks. why do think they spent their top two picks retooling? the only reason why Peyton does not get sacked and is able to get off passes is his uncanny ability to move around in the pocket and be able to sense pass rushers.

peyton gets too much credit for this guys success....like brady with moss.....the qbs did make some badass throws but come on, average receivers wouldnt make 70 percent of those catches.....marvin harrison is the shit....him,faulk,wayne,edgerrin james, made peyton manning....with average wr like in the rams today, he wouldnt do anything.....marvin would catch 20 tds with trent dilfer....thats why marvin is a hof

ppl already know moss was successful before teaming with brady. wayne, harrison, edge all team with peyton and they all compliment one another. dont try to down play peyton as an ave qb. marvin catching 20 td with trent dilfer? so are you trying to say dilfer is an elite qb, pathetic i must say. we know marvin is a hof dont try to discredit his qb.

SMFH...

@Chimera1591 i know huh finally some one speaking the truth
BRANDONRULES107 1 year ago
@Chimera1591 wow youre stupid, if you could run a 4.45 id be fucking amazed, for one, 4.45 isnt average dumb shit, dez bryant, the #1 wr recruit this year ran a 5.57 and a 5.53 so... and he fucking turned austin collie into the highest rookie catch record ever with 60, and the reason he hasnt made mediocre players look good, is cuz every receiver he has looks good, cuz they have peyton manning! fuck.
Dargo7777 1 year ago
Chimera1591 1 year ago
@Dargo7777,Collie was in the top 5 in nearly every WR statistic of NCAAF in his final season at BYU. All of Peyton Manning's receivers were really good in college. He didn't make any of them, they made a name for themselves in college.
Chimera1591 1 year ago
@Chimera1591 collie played at BYU! since when has BYU even been on the radar? they arent really a big mid major, only that i can think of are utah and boise state. cmon now, peyotn makes them, they dont make themselves, pierre wasnt even heard of until this season, and btw collie wouldnt be impressive without peyton, i actually saw pierre drop a lot of passes this year, key passes, and reggie is the only receiver besides clark with legitimate talent,
Dargo7777 1 year ago
@Dargo7777, Uhmm... you might want to ask Steve Young what BYU can produce. And I know a 4.45 is fast, I ran it, I'm faster than average. But in the NFL, a 4.45 is not impressive.
Austin Collie BYU stats 2008,
Number 1 in receiving yards per game, number 1 in total yards receiving, tied with Michael Crabtree for most consecutive 100 yard games, 3rd in receiving yards per games and total receptions, 4th in TDs. These stats are against every WR in NCAA.
Chimera1591 1 year ago
@Chimera1591 the other 3 including gonzalez would only catch 40 balls a year without petyon.
Dargo7777 1 year ago
@Chimera1591 oh and by the way, a 4.45 is extremely fast, honestly, if you can actually and legitimately keep that pace, maybe you should actually look into a pro sport, although, i know you dont, its still something to think about. there isnt a way in hell you run a 4.45 and call that "slow"... thats ridiculous.
Dargo7777 1 year ago
@Chimera1591 BUT AUSTIN PLAYED AGAINST TERRIBLE TEAMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND THE CONCEPT OF PLAYING EASIER TEAMS= BETTER STATS. he doesnt play top level competition! and actually a 4.45 is very fast!!! the max (potential p.o.v) for nfl scouts on wr is 4.35 and min is 4.55 and thats for wr's! you dont run a 4.45 yorue fucking nuts.
Dargo7777 1 year ago
@Dargo7777, tell me, where did Randy Moss play college Football? Where did Marvin Harrison play Football? Where did Jerry Rice play Football?
I'll tell you... Moss-man played for Marshall, Harrison played for Syracuse and Jerry Rice played for MVS. When I think about Football schools, none of these pop into my mind.
Chimera1591 1 year ago
@Chimera1591 for one, syracuse is a big school, and im not saying mid majors dont produce great players, but seriously now, most of the time good players come from big schools, you cant deny that. and im just saying peyton makes his receivers great, its just how it is, the receivers he has besides reggie and clark and kind of garcon are mediocre.
Dargo7777 1 year ago
@Dargo7777, But I've just told you that Peyton's receivers were all really good in college, whether they were good in BYU or good at Oklahoma, they were still very good receivers in college. QBs that make their WRs are Brady and Brees. Before Brady had Moss and Welker, his best receiver was Deion Branch. Brady won 2 SB rings with Branch. Brees has Meachem, Henderson, and Moore on his roster. If you can name their first names I will be impressed.
Chimera1591 1 year ago
@Chimera1591 alright i swear to god on my life, i know all their names by heart.. drew has good receivers, here goes. marques colston, robert meachem, devery henderson and lance moore, dude theyre all big names, especially in fantasy.
Dargo7777 1 year ago
@Chimera1591 btw, peyton makes his receivers!! deion branch was considered a great wr back in the day, he was mvp in the sb! and brees always basically had colston, who is good, and bradys always had good receivers as well, but i agree, both peyton, and brady, and even brees, all make the receivers, peyton is good without his receivers jesus christ.
Dargo7777 1 year ago
@Dargo7777, Branch was never considered a good WR. Branch was an average WR. Brady made him look like a superstar. And Brees may have Colston, but he spreads the wealth. Peyton has a superstar at 3/4 of his receivers. He can look for the FHOF in Wayne, FHOF Clark, hell, if Dez Bryant falls to pick 31, I say the Colts will go after him, too.
Chimera1591 1 year ago
@Chimera1591 your comment about dez was completely retarded, its like saying "well if sam bradford falls to pick 250 then the buffalo bills would probably take him!", well of course the colts would take him at pick 31, thatd be a fucking steal, dont pull stupid analogies out the ass, and are you fucking stupid, reggie and clark are only good receivers, brady has welker and moss who are both considered superstars, and peyton spreads the wealth better than any other qb, even better than brees
Dargo7777 1 year ago
@Chimera1591 oh and brees is 2nd only to peyton, brees has a couple of good wrs, 2 or 3, including colston, JEREMY SHOCKEY!, devery henderson, lance moore.... its like are you kidding me the colts wr core is good, but not great,
Dargo7777 1 year ago
@Dargo7777, Neither Brees nor Peyton is better than Tom Brady. Brady had a down year this year. It's expected from a QB who just had reconstructive knee surgery (Peyton's stats in 2008, 27 TDs 14 picks, Brady's stats 28 TDs 13 picks. Give Brady a healthy outside WR to compliment Moss and Edelman (we'll have to go with out White Wes until week 7, but Belichick will keep him out until playoff time) and Brady will win the Superbowl this year. That's something you can't say about Peyton Manning.
Chimera1591 1 year ago
@Chimera1591 yo bro i respect tom brady he is a elite qb but he is NOT better qb than peyton manning.... wr shouldnt be a prob u guys got superstars wrs in moss n welker & we got wayne n clark superstars.... yes we got garcon collie & gonzo wen hes healthy but they are not proven yet they still need to prove themselves in being great wrs
GUnit01011 1 year ago
@GUnit01011, Wayne and Clark are two elite WRs. Garcon and Collie are really good WRs. Sure, the Pats have Moss, who is better than any of the Colts' WRs, and Welker, but after that the Pats have nothing. This season, Tom has a TE that has the potential to be all as good as Clark in Gronkowski. Holt can play the Wayne role, Moss plays Garcon, Price will be the Collie. If Tom stays healthy, I bet he throws more TDs than Manning and Brees.
Chimera1591 1 year ago
@GUnit01011 I agree teasms win rings not player but peyton stats out wieghs his by far and the proof is in the numbers
jaeminrobertson 1 year ago
@Chimera1591...the pats rain is finished...right now its the colts turn, in the last 2 years they have filled in the missing pieces and now added depth. they got to the SB last year and had injuries, coaching changes, young players etc...the colts will be in the SB unless a significant injury occurs (manning)
Fvantagio15 1 year ago
@Fvantagio15, First off, the two arichetects of the dynasty are still in place-- Belichick and Brady-- the Colts will never win another SB ever again, the had their chance. This was their year. The three teams that usually own Peyton Manning in the playoffs-- Pats, Chargers, and Steelers-- were all knocked out before they got a chance to face him. The Jets did Peyton a favor by knocking out the Chargers. Peyton 'unclutch' Manning blew the only chance Indy had of wining another SB.
Chimera1591 1 year ago
@Chimera1591 wrong the architects were, bruschi, harrison, vrabel and that defense as well as brady and bilicheck. colts "werent even supposed to make play offs this year" according to most "experts" but they were the second best team in the nfl, with a 4th round and an undrafted free agent starting in th secondary, new d coodinator, switches in the LB core, injuries at reciver as well as young guys forced into the starting role, addai coming back from injury. this team is just beginning to peak
Fvantagio15 1 year ago
@Fvantagio15, funny thing about Vrabel, he was a bum before he entered Belichick's system. Bruschi, he wasn't the great LB he was in Pete Carroll's defense that he was in Belichick's. Harrison was a damn good player, but the Pats won the SB with Milloy before Harrison. And you want to talk about injuries? Brady was nursing a knee, ribs, finger. Moss was playing with a separated shoulder, our DL was totaled, Mayo was injured, Springs was our LCB, only played 5 games, AD quit.
Chimera1591 1 year ago
@Fvantagio15, we had injuries, too. And don't forget Welker! The Pats will always stand a chance with Brady at the helm.
Chimera1591 1 year ago
@Chimera1591 i agree with wat GUnit01011 said and manning also had surgery on his knee 2008-2009 season i think?and he still did pretty kick ass that season he has won more mvp awards then any other qb..yes that includes brady and brees brady is good he just gets too much credit for wat moss has been doing
ciraboy91 1 year ago

Chimera1591 1 year ago
@deseanjackson1010, Funny, Brees has thrown more TDs, Yards, less INTs than Peyton in the last two years, and Drew won his team a Superbowl, which is something Peyton Manning choked at. Sorry, Peyton Manning is not the best in the league, he's just vastly over-hyped.
Chimera1591 1 year ago
@Chimera1591 so ur saying its all about stats come on man get real stats dont mean anything!!! he is the best in the league and possibly the best ever if it werent for joe montana but hes on his way thier son
deseanjackson1010 1 year ago
@deseanjackson1010, The only thing Peyton Manning has that backs his greatness are his stats, well, regular season stats. Brady has two more rings than him, Brady has a better post-season record (Manning is 9-9) Brady has been more clutch than Peyton, Brady has been a better leader than Peyton, Brady never threw a game losing INT in the Superbowl. All Peyton has are his stats. MVPs don't count because the writers give it to Peyton regardless if he deserves it or not.
Chimera1591 1 year ago
@Chimera1591 First of all Tom Brady IS NOT a better LEADER than Peyton Manning.... I guarantee you ask any non Colt/ non Pats ( No bias) and I guarantee most will say Manning and plus weren't anyalasis questioning his leadership not that long ago (i didn't say anything about it but I could), yes 2 rings more & post season record true but Brady did choked in the Super Bowl getting sacked and almost INT by the NYG!!!!!! ps yes he does deserve his MVP!!!!
GUnit01011 1 year ago
@GUnit01011, How is getting sacked choking? Getting sacked is out of your control, throwing a pick-6 with four minutes to go while your team is down by seven is choking. Brady didn't choke in Superbowl 42, the New England defense lost Superbowl 42.
Chimera1591 1 year ago
@Chimera1591 dude if of all shouldn't the pats o have dominated the giants d in the first place??? they were i believed 12 point favs to win...also I could make the same excuses for colts d letting brees disect us but i dont.... Brady had 3 time-outs with :29 sec left.... if he was as good as he was supposed to be he would have at least drive down to the field to field goal position but as i said he choked!
GUnit01011 1 year ago
@GUnit01011, Those odds were foolish. The Pats played the Giants just 6 weeks prior and the Giants lost by 3. The Giants were only three point underdogs actually. And 3 time-outs with 29 seconds on YOUR twenty yard line isn't giving anyone a chance to make a play. Don't be ridiculous. The Pats defense choked. All they had to do was stop that retard Eli Manning. They didn't, we lost.
Chimera1591 1 year ago
@Chimera1591 I ain't because its true!!!! the first meeting between you two teams in 2007 was offensive explosion tom brady was tearing up the NYG d because he was that good but where was that offensive explosion when it matter the most in the super bowl??? where was tom brady?? the offense was suppose to be the "best ever" and they couldn't pull it off in the super bowl they choked as well as ur defense (as you say).... haha yep true eli manning owed the pats d in the end lol!!!!
GUnit01011 1 year ago
@GUnit01011, Those were two different Giants teams. The Giants lost that 16th game, the Pats didn't win it. The Giants held the Pats to 14 points in the first half by getting after Tom Brady with some great blitzes. In the second half, the Giants decided to play a more conservative cover defense. Had the Giants stuck to the plane they would've won. The fact that the Pats only beat them by 3 points made the Giants feel like Gods. They rode the momentum into the playoffs. Brady didn't choke.
Chimera1591 1 year ago
@Chimera1591 Even with those blitzes Pats managed to score more points (16) in 2 quarters in 16th game than the whole SB 42 game (14). the Pats D actually held the NYG O to only 10 points prior to the last drive. we don't know for sure but yeh that game help NYG confidents alot but weren't the Pats an unbeatable force too they won every game up until SB 42! If tom continue his "Greatest QB" in NFL history season he should had won period but he didn't and lost!
GUnit01011 1 year ago
@Chimera1591, it's clear your just fishing for an excuse to say Tom choked, but he didn't. All Asante Samuels had to do was make an easy interception and the Pats are 19-0 Superbowl champs. He let the ball slip right out of his hands. Peyton, on the other hand, directly gift wrapped the SB to the Saints. All he had to do was take his team down the field. He didn't, he threw a pick-6. That put the Saints up by 14 and gave the Colts no chance to win. That's choking. =D
Chimera1591 1 year ago
@Chimera1591 Yeh true Colts choked in SB 44 ever said they didn't with no lame excuses.... but we ain't talking about them we r talking about the Pats meltdown in SB 42 and how Tom Brady choked in the SB.... yep Asante did drop it but like i said the 2007 pats rely mostly on their offense to score alot of points & the defense never really had to stop a team in order to win in the last seconds 2007 Pats O was the highest scoring team in NFL history (560th?) they only score 14 in SB... CHOKED!!!

Chimera1591 1 year ago
@Chimera1591 btw you guys picked up a wr in the draft, taylor price out of Ohio, great pick actually, fastest 40 time with a 4.36 i believe, and he runs great routes soft hands, easily your third guy you need, and you picked up ron gronkowski and aaron hernandez, aaron can catch the ball ron can too, and he can block decently, you had a good draft, so lets see tom use it.
Dargo7777 1 year ago
@Chimera1591 i can tell youre a pats fan, the obvious reason why you doubt peyton manning, but yeah, ron should be good, so should aaron, i wonder who tom will like more? and dude, price wont start but next year he will be the slot, and welker btw fluctuates between ls wr and slot wr, but uhm maybe holt will be ls and welker slot while price or edelman is 4th? i wonder, cuz edelman isnt bad, and ron should be your starter.
Dargo7777 1 year ago
@Dargo7777, Maybe Hernandez, Brady likes 6'0 receivers, but Ron will be used more around the End-zone. Nahh, Welker is always in the slot, even when the line him up on the outside he's still going to cut down the middle five yards into the play. But I fully expect Price to take over from Holt come playoff time. As of now, Edelman is the 3rd WR, when Welker comes back, Edelman is the fourth Holt is third, Wes takes on two. But Welker won't play until week 14, to get him ready for playoff football
Chimera1591 1 year ago

Harrison is GOD!!!!!!!!!

definately deserves to be ranked with the top recievers. harrison has the stats, records, and the ring but one thing he did that makes him great was that he was never a trash talker. he kept quiet and let his play do the talk.

He's awesome. Probably one of the best. He deserves to have a superbowl ring
facebut52 1 year ago
He does have a Super Bowl ring. Didn't u watch Super Bowl 41? The Colts beat the Bears 29-17. Harrison didn't have a touchdown in the game but had 5 catches for about 60 yards
stealthman6240 1 year ago
i know that. I did watch the game. That's why i said he does have a superbowl

One of the greatest receivers to ever play the game. I hope he's a hall of famer the moment he becomes eligible.

I agree with you buddy

On my All-Pro team, I would have Marvin Harrison and Jerry Rice as the outside WRs, John Elway at QB, Barry Sanders, Jim Brown, and Terrel Davis at RB, Shannon Sharpe at TE, Cris Carter at slot reciever, Ronnie Lott and Steve Atwater at FS and SS, Rod Woodson and Dieon Sanders at CB, Reggie White and Michael Strahan at DE, and Lawrence Taylor, Ray Lewis, Jack Lambert, and Mike Singletary at LB. I like 3-4 defense.
stealthman6240 1 year ago
@stealthman6240
Rice and Moss for me, but Marvin would be number 3. Moss and Harrison are the two greatest WR I ever saw. Rice is the best, but he wasn't in my time.
Chimera1591 1 year ago
but anyway my point is...see, these recievers have different skills, and they are different from eachother in many ways . and if im wrong i have an example...tom brady throws it up to randy moss regardless whos covering him , (even if hes being sticked)cause of his jumping abilities...but you wouldnt see that to desean jackson. only when desean breaks someones ankles and has a good 3-4 steps ahead they will throw it deep ... but its hard to compare recievers when they are different in abilities.
FleaBoyRiick 2 years ago
Thats true. Every receiver is different. Some are known for hands, like Larry Fitzgerald, Anquan Boldin or Brandon Marshall, others are deep threats, like Desean Jackson, Randy Moss, Steve Smith(Panthers), Greg Jennings, Donald Driver, or Plaxico Buress, or Marvin Harrison, Reggie Wayne.

andre johnson does everything right... coming from an eagle fan
e11108 1 year ago
I forgot to mention Andre Johnson. He is also a great receiver. He's a deep threat like Randy Moss. I like those types of receivers. I don't really like possession receivers because they don't have blazing speed. I like when bad DBs and overrated DBs get burned by deep threats.
stealthman6240 1 year ago
@stealthman6240 Wayne is a possesion receiver. Garcon is the new deep threat on the Colts roster.
