Ahh, I tell ya, Sonic on Dreamcast was awesome. He made a perfect transition to the Gamecube and then he sucked something big until Generations (and Colors? I didn't play it everyone likes). Generations is excellent but for me Sonic Adventure 2 on DC and GC will never be recaptured!
I bought it after i went through 2 PAL Dreamcasts with faulty Samsung GD-Rom drives. But this Dreamcast had a YAMAHA one which are stronger. I have a lot of PAL games and they run in NTSC mode with a special CD.
@kiltsonfire164 Ever thought of a region mod chip? Also, I have Dreamshell 4.0 beta that will flash the BIOS to a different region so that there is no need to swap disks out. Just re-flash to a new BIOS when it is time to play a few games from another region. As for the mod chip, I can't seem to find it for sale anywhere. That would be the ultimate solution to region lockout problems. Anyone here know where I can get one online or has one for sale?
Thats HORRIBLE! The laser lens needs to definitely be recalibrated adsap! I had to do it to mine the other night after trying to play a Bleemed ps1 game. After that it made these sounds, like it was about to die, and then stopped reading games altogether. After tuning the lens all was well.
I have a system from February 2000, and it is quiet playing optimized releases from Tuxthewise. Look up Dreamcast resurrection, or DCRes
@torontoraps8 you threw your CRT set out to play on a horrible cheap LCD with a stretched picture? you are crazy man. granted it would be cool just for quick games of stuff but i'll stick with my 29" trinitron i think. i'm guessing it uses composite output from the console too?

My Dreamcast is very quiet. AND IT IS A MODEL FROM 1999!!! 13 year old Dreamcast is quieter than some PS3s I've heard.
