  • 5 dislikers are deaf...and probably blind :°D

  • lively couple of bitches need VODKA to liven them up

  • Three years in highschool with music, then 4 years at the university... I yet i get amazed when i hear such a beautiful thing. - You could easily put more instruments in, like a drum, flute or whatever. I just thing it woul ruin the. "Sound of silence" Not sure that is translated right?

  • This would be cooler if they were topless

  • I guess this is what Ladytron would have looked like a thousand years ago,

  • applause applause applause . . . wonderful! Absolutely wonderful! Thank you for sharing.

  • ...this is pretty..

  • Beautiful!! If you had a third person with a flute, doing the lead, then you would have a million seller! Take it from an old musician and arranger, that would work!!! I love the music, just think of the possibilities... thanks for the great music, keep on with it, you will make music like no one has ever heard.

  • @91fatboy51 - Point well taken... I will track in a mid-evil haunting flute. To bad I wont be able to post it though do to copyright issues. But you are SOooo right, a flute would set this off beautifully as this song lacks a lead such as a flute. PS: I'm a professional musician.

  • No me gusta me encanta!!!! ♥♥

  • could you guys do harry in winter from harry potter? I play it on the violin, but it wouldn't sound as nice as you guys playing it.

  • I'm just sad that they don't have a heart button. :)

  • So tranquil . . . beautiful duet, Ladies!

  • Чудесное исполнение!

  • It's... so beautiful! and... so magic! I love it =D

  • surpreendente! maravilhoso!!

  • I could listen it forever!

  • goodmusic and a sexy dark haired lady what more do u want:)

  • Emily has some nice 8008ies

  • Something about Dizzi's part reminds me of Moonlight Sonata.

Not a complaint by any means, just an observation. :)

  • Wauww

  • I love this you are both so gifted The Lord who made music Bless you both. Thank you for sharing with us all.

  • I want a massage in a dark room with a few candles and this song playing in the backround! :) SOO relaxing!!!!

  • Do you see the dislike bar? Cuz i don't. I <3 dulcimer songs in gerneral and I think its sad that some people don't like them.

  • Amazing!!!

  • wow!!!

  • i already saw 3 Random Videos from your channel and i loved! all of them!!!! omg u r amazing!!! *suscribe* :)

  • Wonderful !

  • amazing! :)

  • my favorite instrument

  • That song is so quiet, so thoughtful. I love it. And to TQ255, Dulcimer players aren't always women. I have seen men that are quite proficient and trained to play dulcimers. So, that's not always the case. Though it is a rare pleasure to see women who delight in playing the hammer dulcimer.

  • @TheKansasCowboy

I have a case-in-point for you; my uncle Marty used to play. He passed on last year, but he does have a couple of (non-dulcimer, unfortunately) recordings on here, just search for Marty Burke.

  • Whats not to like about this music. I close my eyes and I feel like I'm somewhere in old England.

  • I wonder what this would sound like with organic strings. I enjoy hearing a banjo being played with those old-fashioned strings - the music has a much softer, gentler sound. When did musicians begin to use metal strings, do yo know? Jim D

  • I just love the sound of the Dulcimer, its one of the few precession string instruments. Orbital's "the Box" features some amazing dulcimer sounds.

  • It reminds me of "Moonlight Sonata" somewhat, but in a good way. These videos are very enchanting.

  • not only you play a rad instrument, but the song itself is just great!

  • Девчёнки, я Вас люблю!!!!

  • Your music is wonderfull. And I love listening to it.To think this instrument is from around the 11 century.Just goes to show that the OLD day's did in fact have great music and talent's.I can picture you in that setting.

    Thank you very much,

    Henry

  • Hi Dizzi, my name is Simon and I used to work with Roger F making those gorgeous dulcimers that you and Emily are playing here. I was his assistant for about 18 months in the mid-nineties at the Dove. It's lovely to see them getting a good run on Youtube! When I was last in the UK I spoke with Roger and he mentioned that you were doing these videos and that you might be taking on the construction job as well. I'll make sure I show my students - they'll love it!

    All the best, Simon Chate

  • молодцы

  • That was the prettiest thing ive ever heard in my life.

  • Jesus that blonde is smoking hot

  • It's like something you would expect to find in a Lord of the Rings movie or something of the like! :D

  • The sound has a spelling effect on the nerve system and the subconscious, possibly making this tune a good tool for healing people's mental problems. So, we need more of this kind of special musics.Congratulations Dizzy.

  • Beautiful music.

Would love to hear a Christmas or Holiday album from you ladies.

This song's structure reminds me of "Carol of the Bells", in a very good way.

  • YOUR MUSIC IS JUST BEAUTIFUL. I'VE LOVED EVERY SONG YOU'VE POSTED ON HERE. ESPECIALLY AS A DUET, YOU GET AN EVEN FULLER MORE BEAUTIFUL SOUND. KEEP UP THE AWESOME WORK!

  • not only "beautiful women", but a man here in Calgary named Tomko Lamb. He has a Ham/dul that his grandfather played. He busks here, and also has a couple of c.d.'s. He composes original, beautiful compositions. Type his name on youtube, and a couple of hits will come up.

  • try opening multipul tabs to mesh the song at different time indexes. it sound so cool

  • That was pretty fucking amazing. I mean, sincerely, the expletive was warranted. I'm an author and screenwriter and have played this particular performance during emotional scenes.

  • thank you... this is a beautiful piece of music!

  • I've played that dulcimer - must be the same bard who spoke .. kindred clecusus ..

    angrydude net

  • Very pretty piece of music - inspiring. Do you write solely with the dulcimer in mind? As a guitarist - I tend to write for guitar - but not always. In this particular piece - I can hear a number of other instruments playing these parts. Have you thought of branching out into composition for more than the 'voice' you're using now?

  • dizzi, your creativity is inspiring and your skill with this gorgeous instrument is moving. Please, please do not ever lose your passion. *bow*

  • Hmm never thought I could cry from happiness. Its been awhile since I even felt happy. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. :)

  • With all your tallented folks playing with you how come there is no singer to compliment your playing? I believe having a singer singing would take you to a whole new level.

  • @mtman69 This stands alone. I sing and I often think that instrumentals sound incomplete but this is perfect as it is.

  • This is absolutely lovely ladies. Thank you.

  • beautiful ladies playing beautiful music. pure awesomeness! thanks for posting it!

  • This one really suits my newest novel ^_^

Thanks girls for giving me inspiration.

  • This is why God saves us all...poetry without words.

  • Absolutley beautiful

  • Adoro esta canción...=) me encanta...ésta, y todas las demás..^^

  • Where is this music being recorded at? What Country?

  • do u guys charge the cameraman for being able to listen to this??

  • First heard the dulcimer listening to Dead Can Dance, and was instantly mystified... then, just today, one of my law school professors, who happens to play both bass and dulcimer in a heavy rock band, turned me on to one of your You Tube videos. Now, I'm sure I will listen to them for many years... INCREDIBLY BEAUTIFUL!

  • I love the music! You two Young Ladies are wonderful!... Puts my head in a good place!

  • This is just so.. STUNNING!!!! Love it !!

  • An instrument of Beauty played superbly. Quite possibly the sweetest music that I have ever heard.

  • I fell in love with the hammered dulcimer when I picked up an album by Maggie Sansone. You gals are spectacular too!;)

  • who are they?

  • Wow! I'm so glad I discovered you! I love the hammered dulcimer, and you paly it beautifully! I'm in love.... =)

  • This has to be the MOST beautiful, hypnotic, calming, peaceful...the adjectives just don't do it justice. I'm just now checking out dulcimer music, and I find this. Dizz, this is awesome! I am hereby HOOKED.

  • Please do Final Countdown by Europe!

  • Shame of the cars in the background, but i suppose it's a sign of time, sadly.

  • Would you beautiful women play that at my funeral?

  • can you guys hammer the Star Wars Imperial March? i know you don't need to prove yourselves anymore, but you will easily get 1 million views if you do it, i guarantee it.

  • AMAZING, thank you to express yourself with the music, it's wonderfull.

  • It would be nice if you did the tour in the United States, I would go!

  • How come only beautiful women play this instrument. :)

  • @TQ255 Oh no. Fingerpicked it is a must have instrument in any Turkish Band or Classical Arabic Orchestra, rarely played by womanfolk and a Richard Farina, who played the Appalachian dulcimer, was very male too.

  • @TQ255 hmm

    sounds like the skin flute

  • @TQ255

  • I will tell you, but I dont want a billion fans in the U.S. mad at me over it, look for an e-mail on your website same name no caps and no digits. love your work, beautiful. if you want i can send you an audio file of the other bands release, or you can find it yourself online, haunting and enchanting they did it justice, but you need to get credit for it. it is obvious its the same song

  • fantastique !! superbe musique, je suis devenu amoureux de cet instrument

  • @DarQNyte1 I wrote this song I did not copy it from another band. Can you please tell me which band you think this sounds like. Thanks Dizzi x

  • @dizzid11

I think Dar is saying that he/she heard another band play this song, and thought that it was their original. As it is, he/she is disappointed in that band, because they are playing your music and don't cite you as the source.

  • @dizzid11 where can you buy a starter hammered dulcimer online?

  • @dizzid11

How old is the dulcimer? I suppose its around 1400 to 1500?

Really fantastic music. Especially i like the "Dance of the Unicorn" and "The Journey".

Im German, so please excuse writing mistakes . ;-)

  • @Tetrarchos

If I remember correctly, the first hammered dulcimers were invented sometime during the 1st century.

  • @dizzid11 they were probably thinking of moonlight sonata, cuz the beginning sounds a bit like that . . . .=)

Great job though!!! I enjoy listening to your music (all of it=) and I hope you keep up the good work!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @dizzid11 I agree it sounds familiar, but I can't come up with what just yet either..

  • @DarQNyte1

I could've swear I've heard a music that sounded like this some years ago, maybe from Vangelis or Mike Oldfield, but Dizzy composes her own songs.

  • @DarQNyte1 I am actually rather curious as to this song you are referring to...

  • @DarQNyte1 I think your confused dizzi is in that "other band" she doesn't always play it by her self you see. hope that clears things up

  • Awesome

  • how difficult is it to learn the hammered dulcimer?

  • veramente ipnotiko!!! complimenti!

  • Absolutely incredible! Such beautiful music

  • Your music should be in a film or fantasy computer game. It's so enchanting.

  • One of the things I love about the hammered dulcimer is how with so many strings the sustained notes it can make a very simple melody into a rich and complex piece. It seems you really take advantage of this in your recordings, they really are wonderful.

  • Hey, do you gonna do any concert in Poland?? That is amazing music, specific and really rary this time... many ppl dont know even that kind of musci exist!! that for me is so shockable... but... You know that stuff is hard to sell, only small group of ppl who loves that type... Hope You gonna be famouse!!!!!!!!!

  • Your music is absolutely beautiful. I always wondered what these instruments were called, and I recently found out that I received a travel dulcimer as a present when I was 8. I recently started playing it, with some trouble, but I hope some day to be able to make as beautiful of music as you. Your music is so inspiring. Don't ever stop playing :)
