Weird thing is, that giant donut wasn't random. In real life, "Randy's Donuts" is actually a real place.
From wikipedia: "In the case of Randy's, the product in question is represented by a 32.5-foot (9.9 m) doughnut on the roof of an otherwise ordinary drive-in that is a dedicated doughnut bakery. The building was designed by Henry J. Goodwin."

I think a giant donut falling off the roof and rolling over your car would be a reason NOT to buy a donut there.
There's a major flaw in the logic of putting that as product placement.
