i'm with u - longtime fan of griffey and recent/short time fan of the dodgers. i wanted to see him but didn't get out there when he came to town. Congrats!

crazy thing about this man is that i have never seen any player in baseball be universally loved you know. Its crazy, i remember watching i think it was the game before where he homered at the night game to put seattle up, and I am a Dodger fan been to many Dodger games and I know how hostile fans get to opposing players but man the love the crowd showed and started applauding Junior gave me a goosebumps. Greatest of all time in book too man!
yeah, i forgot to add the starting lineups to the beginning of the video, and when they announced his name it was all good cheers for griffey. no matter where he goes he'd get my respect.
there was a players strike in 1994, and it happened late into that season. so they had no world series in 1994. so it kinda drove the fans away from the game. what sucks is that griffey had a real good season that year, and he didnt get to finish it.
i hope he plays one more season, with the mariners, of course. just so the mlb offices can send him off the right way. i'd like to see him on the all star team, hit a home run like cal did it, and win the all star mvp. he should make a few rounds to other ball parks, and then call it a career.
after watching media coverage today, he needs to come back for one more year. with all the playoff coverage and even football coverage, griffey's potential last game wasn't even shown on sportscenter. it's just sad like they played it off as a forgotten note. one more year for griffey, and they better do it right.
i was so excited to hear that junior's coming back. and i think griffey's going to start playing a little bit more outfield this year because i heard he got bone spurs removed from he knee. he only played 11 games in the outfield this last year.
so maybe if the DH position is filed by say sweeney (if he's coming back to the m's), then jr could play LF.

if it wasnt for ken griffey, the mariners would probly not still be around. seattle owes him alot. he is one of my hero's growin up. great guy.

the mlb owes him a lot. he took on the dark years after the lockout and won the fans back with his play.

i am somewhat new to baseball, what was the ''lockout''?

i mean he 39.
i still have hope he's gunna stay with the mariners for a few more years.
because he's still hitting ok. he's only been playing half the time this year because of mike sweeney being the other DH for seattle.
if he was dh for all the mariner games, he could easily have 20-25 hr right now. he has 15 currently.
it doesnt look like this year the mariners will win the wildcard. (defiantly doing better than last year.)
im hoping the dodgers will win the series this year!

yeah i totally agree.
he's seriously one of the only GOOD players who are clean. Juniors never done roids or anything. yet he's the fifth all time in homeruns.
junior needs to stay a few more years.
he's still good. i think he can make it till he's 45.

i watched that game today.
it was pretty amazing.
i dont think that junior is done yet.
he hit 19 hr in only 117 games. he's still getting the ball out there and he didnt have a whole lot of injuries or extensive injuries for that matter.
definitely a big turn around for seattle this year coming from 101 loss season to an 85-77 record and i think griffey was a huge part of it.
maybe griffey has 1 or 2 years left in him.
i think he should go until hes atleast 4th place on the all time hr list.

well, a month later, im glad we're right. he better get on that all star team, just so i can go to the game this year in anahiem.
