The best thing about TOOL is the near perfect balance of Drums, Guitar, Bass, and Vocals. Adam doesn't show off with a guitar solo in every song like 99.999% of metal bands and prefers to make melodic riffs (which is why he's great). And Maynard knows the other members are amazing and gives them the credit they deserve. Add in the best drummer of our time (possibly top 3 in rock history) and 1 of the most creative bassists and you have an incredible band whose music will last longer any1 today.

Though I'm pretty sure every song would have different riffs and what not. Maynard IS tool. Without him their would no tool. This and all Tool songs are amazing but I don't understand why many people taping focus exclusively on Maynard. There are 4 members of Tool and all are among the greatest ever at what they do. At live concerts, Maynard always attempts to put the focus on Danny, Adam and Justin.

@kingkickball I think the reason (not saying it's justified, just their reasoning) for the people taping to focus on Maynard is because everyone knows what someone playing guitar or bass looks like (though Danny is amazing to watch), but the way Maynard tends to move when singing is relatively unique and absolutely hypnotic. That's my guess.

HELP _ I saw them live about a week before 09/11 in Indianapolis, they had these two people come out naked during parabol, they were only bent at the waist with their hands on feer on the ground shaking their heads. One man and one women, then climbed ropes and were lifted 35 feet in the air. Apparently, according to the official website, they are supposed to start recording a new album in December. Take that for what you will. They will make music until they decide not to anymore, thats how I see it. Lets just be grateful we have what we have and that is A LOT more than what bands these day put on twenty albums that Tool has done in five.

Tool don't do that though. Everything they write has a purpose. People will prefer some over others, which is fine. That doesn't make the rest fillers. Tool's music is intended as a catalyst for soul searching. Parabol is a calmer catalyst

That song could really mean something to one (or all) of them, but you never know. Even if it were a filler, you'd still have 10 songs on the album without it.

Yeah it was a fucking incredible show. They played the Patient. That is probably my favorite Tool song ever. I hope next tour they play it more. I just saw them at Lollapalooza back in August. They were really into that show, one of the best I have heard in comparison to other shows on YouTube. The only other show I had to compare with was 10000 Days tour back in September of 2006, when they played Columbus Ohio. It was a really good show as well.
