  • I want to be like them. I'd have it no other way.

  • Good stuff, wish they had youtube when I was going thru these schools. Would have been nice to mentally prep for it. Two weeks of hell doesn't compare to 60+ days of Ranger school, watching this reminded me of the two week pre-Ranger school I had to complete right before Ranger school. Nothing beats making selection, no matter what it is, once you achieve that success no one can take it from you... Ranger, SF, SEAL, etc. its a 1% club only the best of the best can join.

  • Any 18A would welcome SAS operators as team-mates, instead of engaging in juvenile pissing matches. SF and SAS are supposed to be professionals, and allies.

  • Not here to having a pissing contest with the great YouTube warriors. Nope, just a 18X-Ray looking for a little motivation after spending the day doing practice rucks and PT. To all my fellow 18X-Rays: Keep on rucking! "Limitations are for people that have them and excuses are for people that need them." Drive on!

  • 111 selected out of 256 that failure rate is too low Ranger School has a higher failure rate and so does BUD/S this makes it really easy to get in the door why are the Green Berets so unappealing to me because you go through 2+ years of training and there is no guarantee that you will see a chance to put all that hard work to use and the Army National Guard has SF Groups too

  • @jackrabbit823 You are aware that it is only a course designed for them to start training. Out of those 111, how many do you think actually graduated from the Qualification Course and became Green Berets? Probably around 50-60. Not all of those 111 went on to become Green Berets. And trust me.....SF always has work to do, and always uses their training. During wartime, and ESPECIALLY during peacetime.

  • @jackrabbit823 Great, It matters not about failure rates and statistics, but actions taken on the battlefield, and if you even try to tell me SF haven't done anything then you sir, are a stone cold liar.

  • Bravo!!!!!

  • I'm in my late 40's. Looking back, I wish I joined the military, It would have given me a sense of self esteem and self discipline that I've lacked for many, many years and has ruined my life. I apologize to my two wonderful sons ages 16 and 13 and everyone I hurt and/or let down. If you pray, please pray for my family and me. The company I was working for (a proprietary school) shut down abruptly on 12/27/11. I loved that job. Now, my sons won't acknowledge me b/c i screw up everything.

  • @msk7046 Then look forward. Your bringing yourself down even more by feeling sorry.

  • @msk7046 Your sons are still too young to have made any real mistakes of their own. When they do they will realise that humans do in fact screw up at times but that it is how we deal with it is where self esteem and self discipline stems from and that is what they will recognise.

  • Also, the fact that the company you worked for closed down isn't your fault so don't feel like you let anyone down because of it. Yes, we often tend to define ourselves by what we do for a living but you'd do well to define yourself as a father who is consciencious enough to admit when you have made mistakes and more importantly it seems you are seeking a way to rectify them. All the best.

  • i dont know why i started fist pumping for these guys at the end of this lol but gosh im so proud of all of them, even the ones who didnt get selected. i have so much more respect... even the more now for the men in uniform.

  • You guys do realize this is only selection to start SF training. It is by no means over or getting any easier.

  • I think in the SEAL documentary they did, 111 started and only like 17 made it.

  • Incredible job, especially the guts to jump out of a AC-130 at a combat drop of over 10,000 ft. Army Strong

  • Here's a thought: if you're not an SF operator of any kind, how about you keep your cock holster shut when it comes to this comparison pissing match? I'd gladly hear any of this from an actual member of such an organization. However, we have no need for keyboard warrior trolls that base all of their knowledge on second-hand (at best) information. The new policy is to simply block them and delete their comments. Contribute something real, or keep your damn mouths shut. Thank you.

  • The worlds most highly trained & Unconventional????? Granted they are good, but no one should lay claim to that, other are better or worse in differing area's....

  • all you british fucks just know were a stronger nation than you haha

  • @IMrNuminous and nzsas

  • the marine dislike the video

  • They didn't show the parts where they get hit with shrapnel in the chin, bashed in the back of the head with a rifle and then told to KEEP MOVING!!!

  • How about all you british buttfucks get the fuck off these videos and watch your own militaries videos. No one cares about your fucking SAS alright? So shut the fuck up and stop spamming our videos with your bullshit alright. Thank you.

  • Comment removed

  • @JaysonDLloyd Every British video there are Yanks slagging them of snm

  • I've noticed that all the trolls have no military experience. Don't talk the talk if you haven't walked the walk. I sure wouldn't.

  • i would love to see those guys try out for the SAS

  • was a good series to watch now im going to watch the foreign legion 1 :)

  • i am sorry to say but i saw a video right here about selection of aus sas which seems tougher.

i was in a cadet college and we used to be taken out of bed at 2 at night and beaten with bamboos and rods for faults at age 13.here even the sergeants are quiet sympathetic to candies. ridiculously some are sleeping ditching and cheating and still on process.if there is break ppl will sleep. there should be no relent. i must say the GB selection let me down.

  • @1461ranger I am sorry but every part of your comment leads me to believe that you're a retard.

  • @notsureifursrs dont mistake me. every one has a heroic tale to tell on this earth. ever one will boast on how tough they are.i dont say GB are incompetent . they have made history.but be objective and analyze the video.if this is the real thing then i must say it is not daunting either phy. or mentally.see aus sas selection. but these are only videos so try some yourselves.

i would advise you not to cross limits of civil conversation.it indicates you are not mentally sound.

  • When the guy said the traing took over a year it really takes over two years to get to an SF Group but depending on where the Groups area of responsibility is determines how much more training they really get

  • @IMrNuminous Are you Special Air Service?

  • @fmcc0904 Any answer to that question doesn't change the fact that SAS selection is structured to produce better quality soldiors. It's the greatest selection process out there and its highly likely that the 110 successful candidates in this selection wouldn't live upto the high standards of the SAS.

  • @IMrNuminous In the most circuitous fashion, then, the answer is "no". Are you even a member of the B.A.?

  • @fmcc0904 I am not, but why should that change the facts? Next time I even dream of making a comment, on any video, ill be sure the join the B.A. first.

  • @IMrNuminous I was merely making it apparent that you were speaking from a purely subjective point of view, with no first-hand experience whatsoever. Now that we have established that, all sits well.

  • @fmcc0904 it shows that he clearly doesnt understand that once you are out in the combat zone it doesnt matter what country of regiment you are because you are all fighting for the same reason,I treat all fellow service men as if they were my brothers and will never let them down

  • @fmcc0904 hi ,wondering that you could still be a SF operator with spectacles?just wondering cause i thought you need to have 20/20 eyesight.could you clarify this? thanks man

  • @IMrNuminous

Yet another CoD fag that thinks because he read a wiki page or watched a few youtube vids that hes a military expert.

  • @IMrNuminous LOL looks like he told you XD

  • @IMrNuminous The SAS is still not as good as Army 1'st SFOD-D, Navy DEVGRU, and the C.I.A. Special Operations Group. It's only logical that the country with the best military on our planet has the best trained Operators.

I should also point out that this is the selection process. They still have 2 more years of training before they earn the Green Beret, and not all will make it through those 2 years.

  • @fmcc0904 imrnuminous is right.

  • @IMrNuminous stop talking out of your ass, have you watched the entire video, did that shit look fucking easy to you?

  • @IMrNuminous 110 were selected out of 256 which means 57% or 146 washed out .more will wash out during Q coarse.thats why from beginning to end less then 25% actually make it.having 85% or more get dropped .and your saying their not quality ?thats disrespectful.not only that the only American units that compare to the s.a.s are delta and devgru .

  • @IMrNuminous You do understand this is the training for the training, right?

  • @IMrNuminous Personally I think the spetnaz have the hardest training regement. But it doesn't matter who has the best training, what matters is the goals and reasons you fight. An untrained man can beat a master if his reason for fighting is greater then the masters. And those reasons can be fighting for loved ones, a country, or even your very life. Although I do respect your opinion, I agree that the SAS are complete badasses.

  • @IMrNuminous 4 pass and the SAS but they start with less. The SAS are very elite, but are also COMPLETELY different then the American Special Forces. If you want to compare SAS, then you look at SEALS and CAG. There are nearly 5,500 Green Berets in Americas army. comparing our SF to your SAS is apples to oranges and anyone knowledgeable on the subject knows that. Quit coming onto these videos trying to big up your countries forces, its only civilians who do that.... Argue with that.

  • @IMrNuminous umm SAS is tier one special forces green berets are tier 2 if u gonna compare selections u should compare delta force with the British SAS

  • @IMrNuminous I hope you realize that this is just the selection. They have a further 3 months of even harder training in phase 2, and then 4 months to 1 year in phase 3. This training is extremely difficult and I don't think you're in the position to compare the SAS with US Army SF.

  • @IMrNuminous the US has 312,873,816 people and UK has 58,789,194 people... US has over 250,000,000 more people than UK.... obviusly the SAS qualification is more little than the green berets.... but that doesnt means that SAS is better than green berets..... whatever DELTA is the best of the best!!

  • these 110 have just earn the right to start the training, and under the real training more then 3/4 fails. and if you compere how many applying to the SAS and the green barets, and how many replaces the "old ones" i thing you just simply can't compare the training.

  • @IMrNuminous SAS are tier 1, SF are tier 2, you're comparing apples to oranges

  • @IMrNuminous you know nothing lol Special Forces Assessment and Selection is only the beginning. Once you get accepted (if you do) then you start the real training that takes 2 years+ to complete.

British people pretend to be the best at everything sheesh

  • @IMrNuminous 110 earned the right to train, they were not given the green beret.

  • @IMrNuminous that was just to start training... awkwardddddd

  • @IMrNuminous Or maybe, that's because a greater percentage of britfags are weak pussies. America as a whole is built for war, now take your faggy ass back to the tea party.

  • @IMrNuminous I don't want to get into an SF vs SAS pissing match, but I do have an issue with your logic. The sheer numbers that are selected for a given organization are not exactly a direct representation of how hard a specific organization's minimum requirements are.

How many people try out per year? Are there limitations to how many they are allowed to accept?

  • @IMrNuminous Whith US Army SF, the selection process only determines who is allowed to head to the actual course, where not everyone passes. Have you compared numbers of total people who signed up to try for SF or SAS vs number of people who actually made it onto the force?

  • @Careohseen You only have to look at 1NZSAS to see how hard that it..... and it takes them three years after selection..... Aussie SASR and Brit SAS are just as tough, but train for a totally different mission profile....

  • @IMrNuminous Idiot that not the Navy seals or Delta force! That just the special force!

  • @IMrNuminous So if I told you some BUD/s candidate classes (Navy SEALs) do not have any that pass, does that make you think that SEAL training is harder than SAS? According to you, it does. Shut up. Who dares wins? You don't. You're not even in the military.

  • @IMrNuminous

Keep your cock sucker shut about shit.

  • @VPKBH10 of course dis is basically SF tryouts is gonna make any basic training luk like a breeze

  • It's Camp Mackall, not McCall......

  • @gregpasq Good catch, Spellcheck.

  • @fmcc0904

    No prob, flunkie.

  • @gregpasq Ahhh...blocked. Can't even give people a compliment without them taking it the butthurt way and wanting to take a shot back.

  • This makes Marine boot camp look like a fucking breeze.

  • @VPKBH10 this isn't boot camp.

  • The JTF2 Canadian Special Forces are the toughest of the toughest.

  • @onething1471 okay buddy, thanks for sharing, but I think after watching this you ment to say america's SF are the toughest of the toughest in the toughest

  • @Africanbarbietm Nope. We've been beating the British, the Americans and the Australians in NATO exercises and competitions for 5 years now. Nobody knows about the JTF2 because they are like ghosts. But they really are the best. During the genocide in Rwanda, they were the ones called in to protect the presidential family because no one else could do it. Thats just an example. They are the elite of badasses!

  • @onething1471 rwanda has alot to say about that..like the real rwandans who were there. we all have the right to opinionate

  • Looks pretty fucking tough. Just want u guys to check out the recruitment course for the Australian SAS by searching "SAS-The Search For Warriors" on youtube

  • @ThePreditor22

you have just said what i wanted to say. that is tougher. not visually but distinctively.

  • All respect for america from australia but there's no such thing as "the best special force". No one would take on the Australian SAS (SASR) or the green berets un less they want their asses kicked

  • I think any special forces from many countries would be rootin tootin hard ass kickers like these guys. Israel, US, UK, France, South Africa, Australia. They all have similar standards for their special forces I believe. Check out the documentary somewhere on here that shows British SF that's pretty cool. What's even cooler is we can ALL sit here and relax because we know there are ass kickers out there doing all this difficult crap on our behalf.

  • @crazyman1212 sorry bro but ur mistaken, deltaforce are the top dogs

  • great upload, thank you youtube

  • I'm sorry guys, but no, SF units DO NOT do different things. Green Berets, SEALS, SAS, they don't cut corners and let other people do something they can't do. Green Berets can dive just as well as SEALS, and SEALS can climb just as fast as GB's. The only difference is the branch. Beret's don't sit back and say "let the SEALS do the diving," etc.

  • @SideWays8Productions They may all be capable of doing the same thing, but some units are better suited to do certain missions than others. Special forces are primarily unconventional warfare and foreign internal defense focused. SEALs primarily do direct action and Special reconnaissance. Check out page 13 - 16 of the introduction of this book for more info.

    books.google.com/books?id=gr0uINXU0ikC&q=direct+action#v=snippet&q=direct%20action&f=false

  • what makes me laugh is every force/special team will moan about the other,,,but when your fighting for the same team coalition it does not matter,,,, brotherhood for life,,,!!

  • I'll respect anyone who even tries out for an SF job, regardless of their local speciality. Very few people try but the worlds full of opinionated wankers.

Either give it a go or fuck up.

  • Harder in Colombia

  • @silverdragon0000120 Mas duro en Colombia? Los lanceros o q?

  • Thanks for the upload!

  • @TrueAussie15 hell yeah man I fully agree with you on that comment every nation has a different combatant style and uses different tactics, I have the utmost respect for anyone in the forces, and would do anything to be in the Australian Commandos or SAS, be a hell of a way to serve Australia :)

  • NAVY ftw....so many haters gunna reply:)

  • 99% of the "MY OP's are Blacker than your OP's" comments are posted by individuals that have never served a day in their lives! For the record Delta is no longer called Delta. It falls under CAG (combined arms group). If you served in such positions then you have the right to comment on them. If not, move out and draw fire!! If the shoe fits, wear it. These guys are all 'Quiet Professionals' because they don't need to brag about who is better than who.

  • @DoctorEthanAsia idd, and that would show which SF training is the hardest. once and for all.

  • I don't know if anybody agrees with me, but you cant tell who the "best" SF team in the world is. And it doesnt really matter. Its basically like all you guys are having an argument over whether one girl is hotter than the other, its just personal preference.

  • Great posting! In the UK the Special Air Service candidate have to endure weeks of "beasting" up the Brecon Beacons. One former member recalls an SAS commanding officer saying at the start of the selection process "most of you will drop out and I don't give a fuck"

  • Great upload thanks!

  • FMR, you dont know what that means and if you do, alright but if you dont and want to know send me a message, I'll tel you and you will agree as well, GO ARMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i guess if you wanna be a green beret, start training WAY before going for the test man. like 10 years of hardcore training

  • Hooah!! Fuck yeah Army Strong!

  • and it's only after this that the real training starts!

  • me killed osama!!!!!!!

  • that's pretty nuts; that was just a selection process to start ACTUAL training/selection to be a green beret.

  • @Crazyman1212 Here we go, yet again. Hey, pogues and civvie shit-for-brains out there...no one cares as to your opinion of what the "best" SF operators are. I was military, but not SF, so I don't even sit here and argue about it. Why? Because I was never SF! Take the example, and run with it...

  • @fmcc0904 im just CORRECTING the commentator on his "worlds best" comment.

  • @Crazyman1212 And what is your background, to be correcting anyone on the subject?

  • @fmcc0904 that i don't work for fox news

  • @Crazyman1212 That's uh, that's funny. Your comments no longer work, either.

  • @fmcc0904 are you american? the fact that you dont like anyone saying something that differs from your opinion makes me think your american

  • @Crazyman1212 fucking retard

  • @Crazyman1212 you are a fucking moron. seals are and have always been considered lower echelon than a delta force operative. and British SAS? wtf are you serious?

Nothing in Britain is better than its USA counterpart. Nothing.

  • @lsumormon jesus mate obviously you don't know what you'r talking about and just saying all that shit as another ignorant american

  • @Crazyman1212 Correction ..Australian SAS...hahahha Our British brothers may have been the founders of the SAS..but the Aussies are the ones that put it on the map for been the toughest and most professional Special forces regiment in the world.......Well either way they are both the best Special forces regiments in the world..SASR or more commonly known as The SAS

  • @Crazyman1212 British SAS has the most difficult training, but battle proven are not the best warriors, watch documentaries on desert storm. 300 SAS members went on recon and were ambushed by simple Iraqi military, 256 of them died and the rest fled to neighboring countries. I respect them but history shows the United States finest are the worlds finest.

  • @Crazyman1212 i'd go ahead and be fine with your comments but im not cause there is no need for it, and guess what im an american i know the green berets arent the best SAS wanna know who is the Spetsnaz. Im fine with this and even though they are the United States Military is the best so your one little thing that you think is the best dosent matter because we will still sit you down and kick your ass

  • @Crazyman1212 Ok I got a question for ya, IRS or DMV???

  • @Crazyman1212 sorry, but you are off. You cannot say that seals are better than any other elite unit because each elite unit has failed in mnay operations over seas. SAS are badass, but are not the best. No one knows who the best is. You can't forget about Delta Force. They are just as crazy as SAS, because they have the same qualities.

  • @The903superman fuk yea! seals and SAS are grey ops. delta force truly does the craziest black ops shit that you'll never see (or ever hear about)!

  • @Crazyman1212 who gave you the stats on that?

  • @Crazyman1212 nope,try again

  • @Crazyman1212 SAS and SBS

  • @Crazyman1212 Green Berets and Navy Seals have different missions. You wouldn't want to drop Seals behind enemy lines to train rebels to over throw the government. You would send you would send the green berets. Special operations units are all good at what they do, and all deserve respect.

  • @Crazyman1212 You do realize that SEAL's can't do what SF can do right? You do understand that they have different mission objectives, You do realize that you can't compare 2 forces trained for different things don't you? you do realize how insanely retarded you sound. Right?

  • @Crazyman1212 Seals walk into the forest or any other environment like a forest against a Green Beret they aint coming out. They do COMPLETELY different things. No Special Forces is better then any other cause EVERY SINGE Special Forces does different stuff. Thats why theres DIFFERENT SPECIAL FORCES.

  • So my question is: Now that the Army is offering civilians go straight to special forces training off the street, how many are actually selected their first try? The video mentioned it often takes multiple tries to make it.

  • @shwat17 If I'm not mistaken, if you come in straight off the street and don't get selected they just roll you over to 11B

  • Army rangers lead the way!!!!

  • with all do respect to the green berrets the idf special forces known as " sayeret matkal " has a traning and selection proces so brutal the its inhuman to show it on t.v and its alot harder than they went through

  • Come on people, stop comparing special forces. They are all different and all tasked with different roles in the common goal of defending their country. Anyone who has the balls to go ahead with even trying has got the respect from the people around them. Check out SAS The Search For Warriors showcases the selection process for Australia's SAS and compiled with all the other videos on here, it's amazing seeing anyone go through anything like this!

  • uhhhh I'm so sick of people circle jerking it to the SAS, throwing out bullshit stats like 1 in 250 make it, saying that because they have a smaller army than ours those guys are regular rambo's. No one ever mentions the SBS either, the naval counterpart. Shows how little people know.

  • 68 should've made it.. i hope he went back and showed them he was able.

  • out of around 250 troops on SAS selection only around 5 pass and its over 6 month followed by continuation training.

  • @wells4621 dang that is pretty steep numbers. kinda pointless if you ask me. why wouldnt they increase the standards before trying out? (like a pre course pt test) should be at minimum a 10% pass rate to justify the loss of resources and time alone.

  • @Basekitball They do a one week pre course to ensure your good enough to pass. if you google the selection and it will show you the breakdown of what you go through at each stage. Once you pass you do 1 year of continuation training which is a test in itself.

  • Yea pretty good, check out -first amoung equals- it is selection for NZ SAS pretty good Australia has a video for SAS selection.. All pretty good

  • awwwww.......68 didn't make it! =(

  • my boyfriend is at selection this week... after watching this whole thing, have decided I am not gonna ask him to go camping when he gets back... lol... I hope he gets selected, but as long as he does his very best and doesn't quit, I'll be proud. In the end, your best is all you can do. Props to these guys...

  • @0wlransom Eh? Why not? After this shit, camping's just another walk in tha park.

  • Green berets training is tough but BUD/s is the toughest ive seen so far.

  • 1:47 LOL! " Kiss each other's asses later."

  • i just watched your whole 9 part of this and all i can say is wow in ways it makes me want to join even more when im of age but in ways it makes me wonder how i can train so im am ready and fit just even for regular forces in canada

  • γιοτάδες

  • @Chroma2021

    *marines*

  • @Chroma2021 I know.

  • Now the real fun begins!

  • @US Military

I have a great respect for all of you, and the things you do for us (Americans) and what you do for the world.

    @Video poster

Thanks or posting this show, it's great and insightful. As soon as I finish college I'm most likely going to try out for seals or SF.

  • @ukguy

Watch you don't break your legs when you fall off your high horse.

  • My eyes welled up with tears for those guys who made it and my heart sank for those that weren't Selected - these guys have sooo much heart and soul - it's overwhelming - godspeed to all of you - i love ya!!

  • I want every person in the military to know that this guy on youtube Karstenhall has no respect for the military, or how they protects our rights or anything just putting it out there he thinks the military is a bunch of meat heads, i guess he think hes better because he is gay. Idk where this guy thinks he has room to talk shit or talk down on our military when they protect our lives. and again search his homo ass Karstenhall im sure he would love to talk shit to more men/women in the service

  • @eversostrong did you make it?

  • Only 75,425 People Made it trough WATCHING Two weeks in hell,Thats Approx 87, 843 dropouts candidates!

  • rofl all this shit just to start the actual training - haha that's mad funny.

  • nice fuckin coke bottle glasses

  • I'd try out if they offered a joint and a beer every five miles, and a 35 minute brake.

  • 2 weeks? They must have been trying to ramp up the numbers of candidates. It was 3 weeks in '98, when I attended.

  • if this was the SAS only about 5 would have made it lol

  • @ukguy Realize that this was just the beginning and from there, it will be further narrowed down (more phases to go).

  • THREE WEEKS, screw that i already quit!

  • @:33 secs, Bubbles is SF!!!

  • Why dont they have something like this on our JTF 2? This show was great

  • Anyone who knows, after selection, in training, if its less than 25 percent, its coz they quit or fail btw that year of training, right?, coz it would be bullshit after a year of training not to graduate, and why do they fail the training?, is it coz of the physical or mental aspect?

  • @KokeJr just cause you trained for a year doesnt give you the right to join SF.. they need people they can depend on and do the job at hand. just cause you can tough it out through the training still doesnt mean you can qualify.

  • It must be so disheartening to complete the training and not be selected.
