  • Wow that for a Zenair? Changing the take off length from 120 feet to 3 feet.

  • I just wonder what the advantage is to this engine if it only generates 90 hp. The rotax engine does that and a Wankel rotary engine would generate about 180 hp in the same cowling space? Of course Mazda will stop production of the Wankel Rotary this year but I feel sure that there are other engines that can generate even more HP in the same space.

  • I doubt the wife appreciates her new hair dryer.

  • I want one for my cessna.

  • How i can buy a used Garret JFS 100?

  • What happens if you put it on a treadmill?

  • where are the wings??

  • @davetileguy who need the wings with jet power. just some empennage to steer!

  • Wick-ed

  • YUDHA_Pmsclub@yahoo.com

  • Two words: FUGGIN' A!!!

  • Put that in a Mooney

  • very handy on a hot/muggy sumer day... what did this engine cost?

  • I couldn't find which Zenith modle you plan to put this on. But, if you put it in an 801 and put the 801 on floats, WOW! You have yourself a Awsome Bush Plane. Think Alaska!

I want one. That is as long as you can find a way to give me more than 2.5hrs endurance and I can still cary four people and bags. What is the PPH rate? Or better yet GPH? I guessing 18 GPH. That would mean I would need tanks that held 54 Gallons of usable fuel to have my FAA 30 minutes reserve for VFR flight.

  • it's only 90hp, so would be useless in an 801...you need 180-200hp for the 801.

  • When I was a teenager, a man I knew built a volkswagen beetle with a porsche 911 engine, then gave it to his wife. Made NO sense at all, but it WAS cool to look at.

    Deja vu!

  • hahaha...A turboprop Stol...Imagin that in the seaplane version.

  • You crazy son of a bitch!

    I love it!

  • No, on a jet the wings are NOT just for steering

    Mr. Kazakh pilot.

  • It won't ever fly, it ain't got no wings!

  • With a jet the wings are only for steering!

  • This looks like a dream combination. Horsepower light weight and extra long durability. What more could you ask for ...er other than certification.

  • What was the fuel consumption during the test run?

  • Very interesting. Is it just a prototype or its going to be available soon?

  • now hold your arms out and say weeeeee

  • Nice job...vern

  • That doesn't sound like a Rotax!
