  • Have a 93 ATX. Used to love hearing the secondaries open up. I could even feel it pull harder. Always, wanted a MTX tho. Especially after my tranny blew. Car's been sitting for almost 5 years. The one time I had the money 2 fix it I just bought another cheap car instead. Never could bring myself 2 sell it. I'd LUV 2 do a MTX swap.

  • Вот так АКПП и убивают на Таурусах

  • @lHustonProductionsl Haha very well said, 100% agree the only ones worth the "muscle," car moniker are cobras and boss 302's as of late.

  • @lHustonProductionsl OMG someone actually understands!!! Holly shit.

Muskrats are too small for men and poor handling to boot! Want a real car? Get the Muscle! Comaro Hands down!

  • OK To kinda answer the guy asking for cheap upgrades with a 1994 SHO, auto trans... Sell it!! The dammed things go through them light weight junk transmissions left and right. Get a standard shift one!!! And as far as Cheap, sure you can put a K&N filter in it but beyond that there no such thing as really cheap about building these things.

  • @itsgnikcufllihb Uh, the SHO had a better 1/4 time than the Stang that year. I mean, you can look it up...

  • beautiful bass engine sound :)

  • @itsgnikcufllihb Unless the car is chipped, secondaries open at 3950. I have videos in my account to further that point if you need proof.

  • You need to learn how to shift. Poor gearbox.

  • I wanna cry when I see other people driving a SHO :(

  • Hey I just got a 1994 taurus srs, any sugestions for cheaper performance upgrades? its an automatic so nothing involving clutches.

  • @Skomega77

sell it and buy a mustang!

  • @EpicNova lol

  • @EpicNova so why down grade to a more pos ford

  • @EpicNova nothing like punching a guy in the stomach. sad, but I agree. mustangs are cheap these days and come with a lot of fun!

  • @EpicNova this is cooler than a Mustang, of the period. far less common and more versatile. and i LOVE Mustangs

  • @Skomega77 not an srs, srs stands for safety restraint system which is why u see that.

  • @jordtizzle Ya it says GL on it to.

  • @Skomega77 ok then it is a gl

  • @Skomega77 You mean sho? I think srs is an airbag.

  • @Skomega77 srs??? Thats the airbag....Supplemental Restraint System

  • for anyine wanting to know what the secondaries sound like, they opened up just before 0:07 in this video

  • A very good technical launch, very nice.

  • nice pants do they come in mens

  • @Benwilliston lol

  • NEEED FOR SPEED lol!!!

  • sometimes i miss my 93 mtx (black exterior) SHO. Very rare color cuz they normally come in either red, blue or white. Ppl used to ask me if i was selling it. I wish I woulda instead getting a measly $500 trade off value. But I had to do it.. only had it a year and a 1/2. bout it for $1500...year lata put $5000 in it just to keep it runnin. So fuk it

  • Right at the 7 second mark you can hear the secondary intake runners open up. The sound they make NEVER gets old. I can just cruise on the freeway in third all day, running between 50 and 60 mph just to listed to that effect. (it switches right around 55 mph)

  • woah I just noticed that after reading your post. That is one hearty sound for sure =)

  • Secondary jets? No, they don't.

The SHO V6, however, does have secondary intake runners that open above 3950RPM. The upwards shift of the power band is accompanied by a noticeable change in the intake note.

I'll leave the witty Chevrolet acronym to someone else...

  • @DarkGemini1979 Most people are not aware or the secondairy intake runners, only other car i've seen with them is the sentra ser.. I think it sounds great on the sho

  • @VitaminE6SS

The V6 Ford Contour had them as well. With newer tech like variable valve lift and timing... Not really needed.

  • @ROFLmao35216 That's why I bought a Contour SE V6 manual in 1995 when it came out...I liked the smaller size and the way it "came on power" reminded me of the SHO.

  • @drgonzo767

That was a fantastic car. I drove mine into the ground... Too bad the wiring harness on that model is prone to failing a few years on.

  • @VitaminE6SS The Lincoln Mark VIII had them from 93-98 on the DOHC 4.6

  • @svtlincoln so diddnt the lincoln continental 95-02

  • For one thing.

I can't think of the most raggedy-assed paint-faded rot hole Taurus SHO that can't make 0-60 under 16 seconds. That's ludicrous. My Chevette ran numbers like that.

And another, you're comparing a relatively common daily driver Ford, to a flagship Chevrolet that costs several thousand more dollars to buy and own.

  • @RushSampson

My rusty, paint faded 89 could get to 60 in 6 seconds... BEAST! (I need plug wires and a CID however, now...)

  • LOL you can hear the secondarys open in first gear. nice car.

  • Sounds like my taurus when i gun it,rrrrreet teet teet teet teet

  • My hands could be made of ham hocks and I could still outdrive you, so do me a favor and keep your useless comments to yourself.

  • Cool to find a 93-95 with a 5 speed. I love my 92. Especially driving through traffic, no one expects a Taurus to fly right around them ;)

  • gen 2 SHOs were the best in my opintion. i drive a 95 GL now but i'm trying to find a 95 SHO.. and one day i'll have it lol. don't romp on it too hard haha. its too nice.

  • dude yea you right i have a 95 SHO and had a 89 but Gen 1 and 2 are crazy

  • i wish mine was a 5 spd, i got do the 60k maintenance on it right now....... :( 130,000mi but o well it was a $250 car kuz the guy couldnt figure out what was wrong with it, im working on picking up another one........

  • dude!

i love the sound of this car!

i own a 94 SHO MTX also. mines white and tan interior though

i havnt done and pulls in it yet because the intake manifold is currently off

    keep rockin the SHO!!!

  • go shit on some stangs for me

  • and some ricers while you're at it

  • Driver here:

Yeah, I could have revved much higher with the Jr Revs clutch, and I should have slipped it out, but I just dumped it. No good.

Anyways, its got a few mods:

    P&P Intake Manifold

    Hypertech Chip

    SHO Shop Y-pipe

    17lb Flywheel from Sho Shop

    High Revs Jr

    SHO Source CAI

shonzy7, aren't you on SHOforum? I bought this car from Mr95gl, the Moonlight Blue 1994.

  • I remember this car from SHOforum. Thats a sweet car man. Sounds great too.

  • yeh he did take it easy, this is his first 2nd gen he had a 89 b4 this. the 2nd gen feels much quicker in my opinion
