How do you know the LeCar is so awful, or the Yugo? Have you owned one, or are you just repeating what you heard other people say, who also don't have any experience with what they are talking about?

A very good friend of mine bought a Yugo when they were brand new, I think he had it less than a month. Everything was falling off of it, door handles, window cranks etc. The dealer gave him his money back and bought a Ford Tempo.

How many LeCar's do you see on the road today? Who's collecting them? Enough said! Any French car is just total crap, they were lucky to make it off the lot when they were new!

I have experience with Renaults, Fiats and LeCar.

The renaults were the most fun!

Because my friend and I would laugh our heads off as we heard parts falling off the car as we drove.

LeCar was actually a descent car. But unfortunately the car would often get stuck while driving over a chewing gum.

Fiats, no fun at all, because they rarely if ever were working.

What a load of crap this is. When the yanks can make cars that even get close to European cars they might sell a few around the world. yes the Europeans make tin boxes...on purpose. It's dirt cheap transport for most people who don't give a shit about cars. Europeans also make ALL the best high quality cars in the world too.

Oh, I have a feeling the LeCar was made by some other company beside Renault, because we never had a occassion when something fell of of it while we were driving.

Ever try a Peogeot, I forget the spelling now?

Engine works for about a month.

The car cost me $10Gs. And it costs me $1.00 to charge it so it will go 35 miles. That is 105 mpg at $3 per galon of gas!

Only 400 were made in 1980 by US ElectriCar in Athol, MA here in the USA. Renault sent the glider (no engine) over here to be fitted with the elctric motor, etc.
