This is sad... my daughter started having siezures 2 yrs ago... 4 months ago they became worst... its sad horrible to have someone go through this... keep u in my prayers.
I watched both parts and my heart stopped! How are you able to deal with it like emotionally? Because I know after my husband as a seizure it drains me completely (which isnt good because I also have seizures though rare and not as bad as his). That has to be scary be on the highest does of those meds and STLL be having those kinds of seizures. Thank you for sharing these videos though
Hey everyone check out my new website allgodschildrenonline . com it's got loads of info and more to come about my experience with epileptic and non epileptic seizures, SSD, doctors, and more. Furthermore it's a support group also to talk about what you have learned and your experiences. Hope we can all help each other. God bless!
My Hubby got his disability approval in the mail.Took him 2 yrs with a lawyer helping. He was diagnosed with uncontrolled phenomena convulsive epilepsy and chronic anxiety disorder. They are saying that after combining facts from all 8 of his docs they do not think his are PNES but an unusual type of epilepsy. All his seizures can be different sometimes looking like basic types of seizures but are not and they are typically caused by stress, fatigue, hunger, heat and diet. Feel free to ask Qs.
Chad (the man in the video) will be going on a television show for A & E called the Incurables. They haven't given us an air date yet we don't even start filming until next month but the show will have his videos..and he and I will talk about his seizures, what all he goes through before after and during the seizures and how it effects his daily life. Best part is they are bringing in a specialist from England who will work with him to try to stop all these awful seizures and get his life back
@kaldfjordingen You are a freakin asshole! He cannot help it! You never know you might have a Grand Mal seizure..would you want someone to make fun of you? I think not!
I really hope he gets better I go through them with my dog and it drains me completely , I could only imagine if it was a human family member.. You and your family are in my prayers , may god bless you all
I am so sorry! I have tonic-clonic(grand mal) seizures as well and I feel sorry for him. My principal did not allow me to attend school for a while last year, so I can understand what you're going through. Tell your husband that he's not alone and that I will keep his health in my prayers. Again. I am sorry and I hope he gets better!
resubmit your SSD/SSI application...you ALWAYS get denied the first time. the only people who get approved the first time are terminally ill individuals. PLEASE I BEG YOU RESUBMIT!!! the more you resubmit and the more and more clinical evidence that gathers in your husbands file will get him approved.
I have just watched this and would like to inform you that i also have the same exact grand mal seizures and im told i breathe and act the same way. Truth is he cant breathe at all and bites his tongue or grinds his teeth as i do and suffers a major headache and feels like he cant move perhaps when its over. You must do one thing for him, make sure you turn him on his SIDE either side and ask a doctor for something so he doesn't bite his tongue off or swallow it by laying on his back. Please
SO went to Epilepsy foundation center yesterday and doc seems to think he has frontal lobe seizures and maybe a couple other types so Sept 20th he has to go and stay there while they monitor him for at least 24 hours but maybe up to two weeks so they can catch a few of his seizures and determine where they are coming from and what type they are for sure. Still no word from SSD ugh!
Got the letters in the mail today from SSD/SSI that said my Hubby was DENIED. Letters state that his disability is not bad enough to keep him from his prior work or another job. So people having sever Grand Mal epileptic seizures once a week in the Government's opinion does not keep you from operating machinery (that's what my Hubby did b4)even thought the 3 meds he takes daily tells you not to. 5 docs had his back all saying he was permanently disable & that didn't change their mind.
victormig1, he has these just about once a week we are so used to them I know exactly what to do unless they go for to long I have been told not to waste my time calling 911 or taking him to a hospital he is already on the highest dose of Tegetrol and the highest dose of Keppa daily that they can give him. They have decided to have him go to an epilepsy research center for help.
@victormig1 Ha ha ha 911 what a joke by the time they get to you the seizure is over or by the time you get to the hospital its all over and you wake up with IV and crap in your arm and wonder what the hell. In my younger years I spent a lot of time ditching the paramedics. 911 are for the seizure that goes on to long or if you have one after an other with no recovery time. Or if you’re hurt! It’s important for people to be educated about Epilepsy.
Wow that is my 2 times seeing somebody have a siezure I am 23 when I was in 8th grade i seen a girl having a siezure in the hallway foam was coming out of her mouth I do not know nothing about siezures does your husband have them everyday what is it from was he born with that problem sorry for asking so many questions
I myself have seizures, and not for the natural reasons; 400mg's of Dilantin a day for me... I have Grand Mal when I do have seizures...perhaps we can exchange "horror" stories sometime...d_licon@yahoo.com. I hope and pray for nothing but the best and to hear from you soon.
Mainzification, At first they scared the kids to death and I let them speak with their doctor about it and he recommended the kids "help" when Daddy has a seizure and now they know just what to do and are no longer scared. Our 10 yr old even wrote an award winning essay on seizures :)
I think it´s really great that your child is near when it´s daddy has a seizure, so it learns that having a seizure ist like "normal" for it´s daddy´s life and they don´t have to be afraid of that.
msneosoul850 his doctor has advised me not to touch him at all now...a couple weeks ago I tried because it just seemed so cruel not to help and he freaked and gave me a small concussion so now I'll listen to what the doc says.
Oh wow. I suffer seizures and have been since I was 18 from a brain infection. If don't mind me asking what caused him to start having seizures? I too had a really bad seizures in March that made my heart stop and they said if it wasn't for my class mates quick thinking that I would have died. I know how he feels and you as well. Blessing to both of yall and good health to him.

@epicchickstix At this point were just so use to them. Guess we just learned to deal. Afterwards I just hold him and rest with him. Your welcome.

Shouldn't you have tried to keep his head from moving? He was slamming his head pretty hard on the floor it seemed.
