i find it interesting. why kip chose such a beautiful song. What was going through his mind that day? so many unanswered questions from a horrific event. R.I.P the fatalities of thurston highschool.
i think all the talk of kip kinkel should end. appreciate the song in and of itself, that demented fuck doesn't need to be indelibly attached to this song for eternity.
why do comments about kip kinkel and how he played this song on repeat the day he killed his parents get 46 and 33 thumbs up? sick and demented people who celebrate brutal murder. so what? he was made into a celebrity by the media already, he doesn't need you to add to his fame.
He chose this song because it was melancholic in nature. He did love his parents and in my opinion from my review of this kids case, despite Dr. Sack's expert testimony, I believe this kid was a phychopath with psychotic features. He did not have empathy for any of his other victims but he did feel conflicted with murdering his parents. He didn't kill them because he hated them, but because he loved them. It was a mercy killing with the ideology that his parents couldn't live with his failures.
He taped bullets to his chest so if he ran out of ammunition after the school shooting, he could load one and kill himself. The kid was suffering immensely from schizophrenia. He doesn't need to be in prison. He needs to be in a lockdown psychiatric facility to be treated for his mental illness. For those of you who believe in God when you read this, say a quick prayer for Kip please. For those of you who want to mock me for this, I pray you come to know Jesus.
@JesusPwnz Fuck that. If his "mental illness" makes him shoot his parents, he doesn't deserve to live outside of a prison, or at all. Also, gods don't exist and Jesus was just a normal man. Sorry for the spoilers.
@ANeonTiger it wasn't mental illness that made him shoot his parents, from what i've read he was trying to spare then the embarrassment of what he was about to do. It's psychopathic and poorly justified.
@ANeonTiger it wasn't just mental illness that made him shoot his parents, from what i've read he was trying to spare then the embarrassment of what he was about to do. It's psychopathic and poorly justified.
@omegacon Incorrect, the embarrassment he was trying to save them from was his expulsion, etc. Also, before using a term like 'psychopathic' you should look up the term, then listen to his confession. He is not a psychopath nor a sociopath. Does he deserve the sentence he got? Indeed. I'd just recommend that people educate themselves about what mental illness they're (incorrectly) labeling someone with.
Kip Kinkle put this on repeat with dead bodies in a room and stayed the night in it right? This song creeps me the hell out now. Shame its very nice, feels like lecter eating people and listening to Bach's Goldberg Variations, which is also now as nice as it is freaking creepy.
@tony714 This is one of my fav pieces or music of all time...anyone know where I can get the original as I assume this was recorded or if this is an original version, a well-performed version of the original opera?
