Kuk Sool won teaches the single short stick at blk/brn belt and the double one at 2nd degree blk/blt. There are more than one form of each type of weapon in the curriculum. I suspect the idea came from the drumsticks used by the monks(see opening of this clip ).

Thank you very much for this informative video. I wonder if the double Joong Bong form that we see in the video is still taught and practiced today.
