@Carnivorture you know, honestly? all Nato aircraft that are based in Baltics will fled the scene before Russian invasion. I don't think these aircraft are actually armed at all. We, of course , will be sold and divided just like it happened so many times before. The only deterrent is another war like in Chechnya, not a couple of Nato airplanes with orders to flee if something serious happens.

@jumpthewestwagon Hmm you think wrong just look under wing of Gripens and you see they are armed with 2 AIM-9 , our forces there was also armed with AIM-120-C5, but they fly most of the time only light armed , there were no reason scramble fully armed.

@sovietskies69 Naaah Su 35 is not in big numbers, Su 34 is ground attack/ SEAD strike plane and Mig 35 is not even in VVS. Mig 35 is name from Mikoyan burraeu, not from Russian Army, and VVS is not planning to purshase those Migs, they were made for export. Furthermore, USAF have got F-15, F-16, both 4 gen fighters. So dont post bullshits here

@pepparmostheelder You need to get your facts straight. We have gone off to war and faugth the russian´s successfully several times, as an example when we faced them at Narva... While fighting both the danes and "pols"(Poland-Lithuania). And we have been at the door to Moscow knocking at it but lost due to the russian´s burning there own land. Which made the lost not due to russias military superiority but to other factor´s. Long live the Swedish monarchy and the restoration of patriotism.

And the thing about Russia burning their own cities, that was their plan aswell. France fell for it aswell. Either way I understand what you mean but in the end, Sweden have got to regret every attack on russia made yet. Poltava is still today one of military history's biggest disaster.

It's a probe meant to goad NATO in reacting so they can measure radar, communications, and time response. It's also meant to see if there will be a response. Don't forget those interceptors fly from former Soviet airfields, you can bet the Russians will never forget it.

Air policing is about intercepting and investigating any unknown blip on the radar within your own borders no matter what it is, you dumbass. It's not about shooting down or harassing any lost aircraft you can see, but rather escort them out of your airspace if they are lost and not communicating with ground control.
