Yeah your right "coolColJ24" - the before method of body fat assessment was poor and not accurate, I have recently moved to a new facility with a new £4,500 body composition testing device and is accurate to 97% accurate, one off a DEXA scanner, so next experiment which I will plan soon this will be used, it also quaterises the body to show lean gains etc - so yes more accuracy is needed in the future!! Im not that lean ;)
wait so, do i have to go a day without food? or 12 hours? can i still have a 5 day workout program? wont i lose alot of energy from this? what are the time intervals you do this? once or twice a week? somebody help me lol, hit up the inbox or whatever.
Is that a direct question, if so yes I can! Am I going to edit this into the video and put them in, no! The camera was in a low position, which also didnt help, either way pretty minor point!
I ate one huge meal when I broke the fast, a snack late afternoon and then a big meal around 8pm, just used aminos and a preworkout formula during the fasted workout. My diet was nearly ketogenic, but definitely low carb
In search of a bod pod or DEXA scan for the next experiment, if anyone knows of one in the south east of england do shout!? Next time will be down to the T!
Not being funny but at 6.5% you would be much more vascular. Theres something fishy even with those practitioners, you cant lie by looking in the mirror and thats definitely not 6.5% no matter how bad someones genetics are.
No offence taken mate, I have no reason to lie about the BF% change, I couldn't care less if it worked or not, 2 different people measured the BF with calipers as per Chalres Poliquins method, DEXA scan for the sake of a little home experiment, no thanks! I'll do the experiment again in a few weeks and see if the Uni can do a BF reading with some of their equipment - im up for trying anything, this is simply an experiment and thought others would be interested to hear it!
I do IF/Leangains, relaxed since August 2010 (see blog entry - very very relaxed and not disciplined), with disciplined approach starting the week of Christmas 2010. From Christmas to February, I got myself down to 6.5% (see February entry at the end of that post). No offence.
Thank-you for that. I appreciated that you used graphics for the stats and the honest pictures. I would be curious to see if you would see a similar effect if you did 24 hour fasts per EatStopEat. Again thank-you for this good stuff.
6.54%.... done by 2 different bio-sig practitioners! But you are right most would be ripped at 6% but 1. I didn't use any funky lighting to bring out definition, just did mine in my plainly lit bathroom to try be fair 2. My abs reading will be higher than many others as I was a fat c*** so am not ripped in the abs due to skin etc, but all the other readings will have had the biggest effect, I will likely never look as lean as others at same BF due to having a lot of fat cells, bit loser skin etc

Before pic is not 9% bodyfat, looks more like 12, after pic the same, lower than what you were actually at. A real 6% bodyfat looks very lean

One question, can you stand without sticking your chest out and without bending your arms?

Ben, I am thinking about start IF. Did you eat every lil meals every 2 hrs or did you have the 3 meal option?

@themightylu he did say he used to be obese, and had a lot of loose skin, hence not being able to see as much definition

@TheMightyLu I guess you're right. I thought exactly the same. I'm pretty lean, more than this guy, but I'm maybe at 10-12%...

If thats the case blame the bio-sig method, either way some cool results!

Do a DEXA scan.

Correction to the BF% loss, its was 2.4% and not 3.4%, turns out between us we can't add up!!
