  • Also, this theme rocks! XD

  • I didn't watch Star Trek growing up, but, now, I kind of want to. I just might give it a try.

  • @reapingsoul543 It's really awesome. :) I've watched ST: TNG since I was little. I'm 25 now, but I still love this show. :) Captain Jean-Luc Picard is amazing.

  • @RoseWithoutAThorn86 It sounds interesting. I'm definitely watching it now that I've seen Star Trek 2.

  • Best opening theme ever.

  • This is not just the theme of STNG... this was the theme of my Saturday Morning

  • Not a Star Trek fan, but out of all the themes this one is the best imo. Also Star Trek The Next Generation is the one I grew up seeing my dad watch.

  • Riker is drop dead sexxxy!!!

Dump Genie Francis and marry ME, Jonathan "Two-Takes" Frakes! LoL

  • I wish there was as much interest today in combining synth and symphony in such a respectful, masterful way.

  • @BustTheNotes

Interesting statement. I always thought the TNG theme was all electronic. But was it really a combo of both synth and symphony.

  • This just so reminds me good old time of enterprise. These are just best series.

  • one of the best series EVER!!!!!!!!

  • would these ppl who keep saying there is no sound is space bugger off for a minute? If you were right in front of your friend, no helmet or anything, in deep space and you went, SUP BUDDY??? He'd fucking hear you!! there may be something like, 1 atom per square inch, but still, sound travels on particles to your ears, and YOU are made of particles, and you would be spitting and creating particles as u speak, so there probably IS sound in space!!!

Anyway... have u been there to know??? Fuck off!

  • epic

  • One of my favourite theme tunes of all time

  • Space Is Noisy, and Willing Suspension of Disbelief.

That's all I have to say to @Boxanadu

  • Patrick Stewart is the new Chuck Norris.

  • @Foxhound3857 hella yeah dude!! Badass monologue

  • @Foxhound3857 good because I am sick of hearing over-obsessed chuck norris fans talk about their wet dreams where chuck norris can do this and chuck norris can do that. Patrick Stewart is 10x better anyways, not to mention he's actually willing to voice acting for games

  • I'd love to get a print/poster of that to add to my collection.

  • I can play this on the guitar. Sort of.

  • The best part starts at 0:50

  • @helderaoliveira127 The two first words of your comment makes me suspect you are claming this theme is classic. If so... I agree with you.

  • When Patrick Stewart speaks. The Universe Listens.

  • @ReviewerKid90 like james earl jones or morgan freeman

  • @ReviewerKid90

I cannot tell you how much I love this comment. <3

  • Nice Cover , great Upload. Thumbs up here.

  • The theme tune that has followed me through life

  • yeah1 i'm a final trekkie1 wow, i love it

  • thats not a meteroite, its a comet.

  • yes I have, that sound also reminds me of the wind.

  • which sound effect was it in 0:03.0:04 and 0:18,0:19?

  • its the sound of wind. though how can there be wind in space? there iis no air, only vacuum

  • @Boxanadu There is a phenomenon known as solar winds, perhaps that's what it was. Or maybe it was just the sound of whatever system they were in going "oh shit, here comes that ship full of badasses again."

  • @pleasuretrip well yes, but still you won't hear it.

  • @Boxanadu You also won't hear a big booming voice going "space, the final frontier..." so maybe it's also been added in for dramatic effect. In the Star Trek universe, anything is possible. That's part of the appeal.

  • @Boxanadu its the warp drive of the Enterprise's engines

  • @MrSurfer3001 No i t's not.

  • @Boxanadu

It's actually an emulated sound by the ship's computer calculated by algorithms to how it would sound like if there was air in space, this by request by captain picard who likes to hear the ship going through wind while on the bridge, he listens to it through nano-headphones who has been fitted directly to his eardrums by a surgical procedure by dr. crusher..... or the alternate theory is that it's just for show and dramatic effect.

  • @cakestalker That is my point lol.

  • @Boxanadu thats one reason why it is called science FICTION ;)

there is magic in harry potter. but it does not exist

  • @Garother Um I am well aware of this.

  • @Boxanadu wind can exist in a vacuum as well

  • @Boxanadu if you have to have an explenation then Q put some air in space

  • 1.44 :S what the end

  • my early childhood in 1:44
