I have one of these and a Roland MC-808 and honestly, the Roland can create much more powerful sounds. They work very well together, especially with a Kaoss Pad (3rd generation)
@Rygads i think the tone of the korg is spot on, while the mc808 sounds dull at best. both these should be used in a mix of other instruments, and that's where the tone question becomes critical.

tiesto and pvd arent even anything special. you want unique sick sounds, go bump some LFO, aphex twin or squarepusher.
i have an EM-1 with a kp2 btw...works wonders for its simplicity.
