Hello! Awsome video! Just have one problem. When i use the fruity squeeze and the reverb it applies to all my other sounds aswell the drums the piano the whitenoise, yeah everything really. Do you now how to get rid of the Fruity Squeeze and the reverb sound on the other sounds?
@Skullstep96 You don't put the squeeze on the main mixer track. Put it on a seperate track and route the 3osc to that track just like you would any other effect.
how do i detune it to give it some thickness i can do everything else sounds decent except for that part an the reverb idk cant really see anything on your video quality is bad
@buggzz100 go to the "func" tab in 3xosc, select "fat 8 voices in the tab on the left and turn the pitch wheel a tiny tiny bit to the right. Important: turn the pr-knob in the main tab all the way right to remove the retrigger.
Does this work on FL Studio 10? Or maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I'm following all the steps, and it's only making a weird ambient sound. It doesn't sound like what you're making :/
@kraftymanoova2009 I made a fruity notebook on the main mixer channel, but it appears to be hidden on startup. Check out Current Projects > Automation > Pattern 1 >peak ctrl (Insert 1) - LFO Speed. I just edited the automation for that pattern (those teal bars)
hey man, good tutorial, just one question. what version are you using? i'm using 9.1..everything looks exactly the same until you get to FX and i don't have the dial on the right after you switch to envelope. too hard to see what it is and wondering why i may not have this setting, everything sounds good up until that point. can you help me out???? thanks
Hey, at around 3:32 , is there any way to make it so that you don't get that high-pitched squeeky sound? I know the squeeky noise isn't that bad in yours, but when I got the right "tone" for my bass, all of a sudden the squeeky noise is really loud and annoying. Is there any way to completely remove the high-pitched sound?
@selfself7 Ehhh, Fruity Squeeze is a tough bitcrusher to use, try adding a really narrow notch filter at the offending frequency, that usually clears it up a bit.
Search on google for a bit crusher vst, there's some decent free ones out there that do basically the same thing as the squeeze, minus the noise
@rinegan11 It's a default plugin for FL Studio called 3osc, but basically any vst would work, it's a clean sawtooth and a clean square wave slightly detuned from each other. The Fruity Squeeze effect is FL Studio's built-in bitcrusher plugin. All you really need is a basic waveform with some character (i.e. detuned), a bitcrusher, and a modulated low pass filter and you have a talking bass!
... Amazing tutorial! but... even after i did all the exact things you did, it didn't come out to sound like skrillex sounds at all. D: I wonder what im doing wrong...
also it makes a great sound but i get this little high ptched noise than comes inkinda like a squeak,,its hard to explain but i heard it in yours too,is there anyway to get rid of it?
@kushmush23 Yeah, i've noticed it too. The most simple solution I could think of might be a really narrow notch filter and experiment to find the right frequency to cut. It's probably going to be something above 10kHz
@000badg000 Let me know which sections, I thought i was pretty much talking non-stop about every knob tweak. I'll add annotations to the unclear parts. thanks for the feedback!
I saw your RB comment and thought, this guy is basing his opinion by listening to her new song and not just parroting what every other hater says. Then I open your video and you work with music/sound etc, so no wonder, lol. I wish everyone could be that way and listen. Then I notice you're doing talking bass which I did a very long time ago on amiga. And now I'm looking around at software in 11 that does similar. So I thought the whole thing was coincidental and cool. Good vid, thumbs up!
