Hey Dana, I have found this lovely video of yours today. I'm sure your Dad loves the cowl as it is not only gergous (yes, I do think it is, 5 stars for me ;)), it's also practical. I guess you gave it to him early 2010... Does he still wear it every once in a while? Hope so! :) Keep up making these videos, I so enjoy them, you're so funny.. makes me smile. :) Oh, and btw, your nails are beautiful, too. :)
i'm making something called Seamus cowl. Its about 9 1/2 wide and 6 1/2 long. My question is about cable. i have a pattern that says i need to cable 4 times. does that mean, 4 cables while i'm going around or 1 cable then knit then rest? i casted on 108 stitches
@xanimexartxloverx It may mean to do the cable four times. I checked out the pattern, but it isn't free for me to get a better understanding. But I hope this helps to a degree for you.
You are such a lovely teacher! It's my first time knitting, and the same problem happened to me as the width turned out to be way longer than I intended. Did you say that you knitted about 27.5 inches before you turned it into a cowl? Thank you so much! :)
hey. Your video is great and your a great teacher. I have a question....I just finished the cowl (circular scaf) how do I take off the cowl and replace it with yarn?
@KraftCknits Hello, Thank you so much for your warm comments. I show how to transfer the stitches onto yarn in my how to close a knitted hat tutorial. Basically, you thread your yarn through a blunt eye needle and slip your stitches from the knitting needle onto the yarn held with the blunt eye needle.
I hope this helps. Let me know how it turns out or if I can be of any more assistance!
You are so cute! AND helpful!!! I started a scarf about 3 years ago and now I want to change it into a cowl, you saved me a lot of time and a lot of yarn!

@macN123a I thank you and your sister for watching!
Would you like to see a pillow or a phone cozy/pocket? I don't mind doing both for you and your sister.
The song is an original that my classmates and I wrote together.
God bless!

Great cowl. You could wear it as a snood too! Good teaching.
