  • Some advise as I also autox an SVT. Keep it in 2nd. Dont down shift. The Getreg tranny is perfect for autox you dont need to downshift and loose time. If you dont believe me, next time you go out run without downshifting and run with downshifting and see which is faster. Great save.

  • DRIVE IT!!!!! GJ, NICE SAVE

  • 11-1 hand positions?....

  • I love all the domestic haters, there living back in the 70's. Iv owned an FC RX-7, 2 pick-ups (1 domestic, 1 import) and i currently have a 02 SVT and it is about 10x more fun to drive then the RX. My SVT is lowered, with upgrated frt/rear sways and when i can take an on ramp that says 30 kph @ 100kph mid apex, id say its a pretty wicked car.

  • Nice ride man, do you own a helmet? I hope to autocross my car soon. It's an old school saab 900.

  • Good control! Stock suspension?

  • Nice save, I'm looking into an 03' 5 dr.

  • I recently got an 04 SVT Focus in sonic blue of course the best color lol I've been wanting to get into autocross. Is the svt focus a good car for it? Eventually ill have a car purely setup for autox but i want to get good at it with a regular car first before i dump tons of money into a project

  • Hey man, awesome vid. AMATEUR or NOT, looks like you were out having fun w/ YOUR car. Hope I have time to do that w/ mine sometime. Looks like a blast....and yes great save for an "amateur" LOL. great job...most ppl would've locked up the brakes and lost it completely.

  • @quisman

hey thanks man! Autocross is all about having fun

in a safe way and learning car control. I always have

    fun racing.

  • Nice driving mate

  • nice recovery after losing your back end!

  • Nice

  • In the future in fwd car if you lose the rear use the gas to pull the back end back in line, nice video.

  • Haha nice save that was awesome..you got some skills but there is always room to improve i know i am =)

  • nice recovery. youre a good driver keep at it,

  • wow that looked like a good save to me. forget the haters, they will always be there to put ya down lol. keep beating those Porsches!!!

  • thanks man!

  • cool video MORE PLEASE

  • SVT's suck. I have one. Once 80k miles hit, it was in the shop weekly. Never, ever get one.

  • 92k on mine, track days, autocrosses, dragstrips, daily driver...no major mechanical failures to date. Its a poor workman that blames his tools. You should take better care of yoru car.

  • @Sonikbloo Thumbs up to that bro

  • @agentfazexx ya u must have been a horrible driver we have 3 at my place, cobra, contour, and lighting all doing great and more than 80k, people just talking shit for no reason, there just faggets

  • @ComeOriginal123 Yeah, and you can't spell.

BTW, I'm a great driver. But honestly, who the fuck cares, it's a shit car. Period.

  • @ComeOriginal123 dude its a video comment does it really matter if i spell a couple words wrong lol. its a shit car in your opinion why would you even search this vid if you were just going to talk shit on the cars we love, go buy ur piece of shit japanese piece of crap just like everyone else.

  • amazing car, but in amateurs hands.

you need to go to a driving school

  • I've managed to do pretty well without a driivers school so far. Recently, placing 4th overall with the SVTF at a PCA event with 75 cars, 50 of which were Porsches. I've also won or placed top 3 in my class a few times with other clubs and at SCCA events. I could always improve though for sure, and when the budget allows I'm planning to do the Skip Barber school at Sebring.

  • Learning to drive well by yourself is best....

  • nice runs. the track seemed alittle short but as long as your having fun. good luck with your future races.

  • Good video, good job but I still think auto-x is for people who can't afford to go to a road course.

  • Well its for people that can't afford to go to a road course, or don't have a race track near them, or its for people that want more seat time before taking their car to the race track. But mostly its for people that want to learn better car control in a safe and competitive atmosphere. Basically its a fun, safe, and cheap way to get race experience with minimal risk of danger to you or your car.

  • Thumbs up.

  • is that a bad thing?

  • Not at all.

  • That Looked Like a Fun Course.. Ive Never had to downshift before when I autocross. The Getreg is an amazing AutoCorss Tranny. Looks Like a Great Run

  • nice vid! I have an 02' ZX3... Love the SVT's!

  • that really good

    some pointers

-stay at one speed during slolum

-put the seatbelt behind ur back so u can move easier

-dnt cross hand ( slower steering)

    - tape the button on the e brake down so when u use it it dosent stay on

  • thanks for the pointers. I never use the e-brake. I don't find it necessary during autox. Smooth = speed. At least thats what I try to accomplish.

  • Nice drivin man! Makes me proud to have a focus..

  • that looks like lots of fun! im down to do that!

  • WOW, took you long enough to react to that over steer.

  • I was actually reacting by rolling off the throttle, and not jerking the wheel. Letting the car get traction and then making a manuever. Not over-reacting is the right reaction when losing traction.

  • what car got the best time? check out my turbo SVTF in my movies too.

  • I believe it was a mod'd RX-7. I finished in the top 15 that day in a field of around 60 entries.

  • Good driving there! :)

  • nice video, I just started autocrossing my SVT Focus and its a blast. I love the tail out action you got in the wet. I also ran at a Porsche Club of America event and the course was nice and open, fast, and long.

  • Looks like you had some fun, and yes, the SVTF IS an awesome car for handling.

  • wow nice recover

  • It looks like a good-handling car.
