Do you think maybe more people get shot by a 9mm because it's a cheaper round and because a 9mm pistol is cheaper and easier to use than a 45? The recoil and the weight of the 45 makes people rather use the lighter, less recoil 9mm. Not to mention the 9mm is a popular pistol because it's easy to use.
