You could earn a little extra if you cut the parts you're not supporting anyways. Apparently that's important since you dont have the money to update the USB-drivers, so how about just dropping USB-ports and all computer-integration from all your equipment? That ought to save you another few pennies...
@riddimshakk Do you post that on all the Kaossilator Pro vids? Come on man, let us have some fun. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean that nobody else will.
I was reading the manual regarding saving/loading wave loops. However, the manual is not very clear in how each loop is saved. I know that you can have 4 loops for the four pads. Can I save presets that contain the 4 loops? For example, Preset 1, 2,3, etc..
@kelfar Yes. When it comes to saving simply press shift and 3 and scroll through the save options using the program knob until the small display says "ALL", then press the program knob and confirm at the "YES" prompt. The machine will save all recorded loop data as well as the sounds you assigned to the hotkeys 1 through 8. It will however not save the the bmp setting, so if you recorded something at e.g. 110bpm and switch the unit off it will revert to 120 bpm when you next switch it on.
What confused me is that this and the kp3 look the same. I know that the kp3 has a limited ability to create its own beats, but is the reverse true? Does the KOPro have a limited ability to sample beats and use effects?
Yes, the KOPro does have several vocoder and audio input effects, not nearly as many as the KP3. The audio recording on the KOPro is quick and easy (especially overdubbing) but it doesn't allow sample manipulation in the style of the KP3. They may look similar, but they are very different tools!
I know what you mean, but the kp3 is an effects processor where this is just a giant kaossilator. If you dont have a kaossilator the price should get below 100 bucks now. and can do pretty much the same as this $400 version.
I'd love to see some of the Kaossilator Pro's Midi controlling abilities. If you can use an external keyboard instead of the XY pad, can you use it like a polyphonic vocoder?
Also, can you do the opposite, and use the XY to send note info to another synth?
KP3 is an fx unit and sampler. This is a loop phrase synthesizer as well, with some vocoder ability. Also works as a midi controller for your DAW or synths (hard or soft)
what about warmer synth pads?

That sorta thing has happened to me twice. I bought a Roland Fantom X, then a few months later the G was released.
Then more recently I got a Novation Remote SL. then the SL mk2 was released... so frustrating...

I wish people would STOP calling live electronic performances "DJ sets", there is a difference.
