Nothing to get upset about. I've heard those comments and I can say that I totally agree with Jackie. The comedy in his American movies is mostly stupid and the action isn't that great. Jackie's own movies that he directs and films himself are much funnier, more exciting, and better all the way around.

Jackie Chan is just a straight shooter (if you've seen him in interviews he doesn't do it to be egotistic, it's just a child-like straightness to him) and feels that the American films he's been in doesn't reflect his best work.
Jet Li has also said the same of War not reflecting his best work as well.
I feel pretty much the same as Jackie regarding the Rush Hour films. Imo, they're decent but don't quite measure up to films like Dragons Forever, Police Story, or Project A.
Can't say anything about the Forbidden Kingdom, since I haven't watched it yet.

He's being abit unfair to himself, his current work are all crap compared to his earlier works though, and all he gets is hollywood gigs that still require him to do marshall arts, dude is 53, he said he wanted to do a robert de niro or clint eastwood type films, i think they should give him a chance. I think he is being honest when he said rush hour sux, cause i watched it though entertaining, it's completely meaningless. Hand it down to a crap director.
its the truth. These new movies are horribly choreographed. And his new movie is probly gunna have some fighting then a happy ending, no old school epic manuvers no this no that. Things arent just the way they used to be.
yeah i heard about what he said on the rush hour films but i thought he liked the movie with jet li T_T oh well, jackie is complicated, but what i don't get is that if he didn't like the movie why didn't he say some advice or something and why he didn't study American humor?

Thats pretty funny, I agree with him however. Its a bit middle school humor. But Jet Li is an amazing martial artist, and far more talented then him.
