  • and how is the bolt removed?

  • @ILITTHEWORLDONFIRE The bolt is removed by pressing the bolt release and pulling the bolt rearward. Hope this helps! • This would have been so much better if it were about 10 minutes long and you spent more time on everything. Especially, I'd like to know the special tools you used and where you can buy them.

  • @hackamore I bet he would sell them to you. He is the founder and CEO of Midway-USA. I agree a 10 minute version with more detail would be nice. I'll re-watch a video a number of time to catch it because he sails through it.

  • I got to go and try this right now!

    *5 minutes later*

    I broke my gun...

  • Nice tune Larry.

  • 0:53 what the nut

  • After driving out the retainer pin from the striker assembly everything does NOT come apart for me. I can only remove the bolt body and the retainer pin and I can't get anything else to come apart. Remington help center is useless and Poterfield doesn't show the rest after driving out the pin. I am stuck and need help

  • @AceAffliction You may want to try torquing the srews to 35" lbs (Mil-Spec), then staking the screws. The AR-15 forum has a great post by DPMS on staking the gas key:

  • Hey Larry, could you put a disassemble vid for the model 721?? Your the only one on youtube with a model 721 overview.

  • what if it's not the way it is ? ??

  • @maintguy69 its always the way it is when larry's around

  • just got one point for fallout repairing skill.

  • Larry makes it seem like cake work. That guy is a boss when it comes to gunsmithing.

  • can you do a Complete Tear Down and Disassembly of a springfield model 67E 12ga pump?

  • Why in the world would I want to take the barrel out of the receiver? How does that get headspaced again correctly for pete's sakes? Is there a witness mark of some sort on a Remington 700?

  • hi im larry potterfield and you can buy all these big expensive, unnecessary tools at midway usa to take apart this gun

  • Great vid Dude. Can you make them a bit more detailed? Thanks...

  • Very nice. I look forward to seeing the rest of this project, as I have a Remington 700 I'm working on, myself. Is there any chance you're going to forgo the standard extractor for a Sako extractor, though?

  • Now put it back together again... Shame these vids arn't longer.

  • @raabgunner :-)

  • @raabgunner I agree. Longer videos are much better.

  • this guy is a bamf

  • I'm sure I could get it apart ... not so sure about putting it back together !! lol

  • Larry, you're the man. I used to shoot 'ok', but I have increased my accuracy with your videos of proper barrel breaking and gun care tips - and that isn't even the part that has to do with actually shooting!!
