Proper form and such is ultimately irrelevant in a rep per time contest as its soemwhat difficult to structure a proper foundation for what's considered a chinup besides going all the way down and going up till yur chin passes the bar. Personnally, I like to say I'm good at chinups but I come nowhere near to this guy. My max is 25 regular and my educated guess for the same style he does hovers around 28-29. Good job

They're called kipping pull-ups, and are more practical than standard pull-ups in my opinion. In the military I used to do standard pull-ups in my workouts, until I discovered CrossFit. Go do 30 or more kipping pull-ups in one set and come back and tell us how you feel.

Im working up to doing s as many I can do at the moment im going chin up crazy at the moment i love em!!! That pretty awesome that amount in a minute. It does state however that you cannot use any momentum with your body whilkst doing a chin up and you were pretty much using the rotation of your body to lift your self up. the Marine Corp and the mil. in general have been pushing CF very hard. Check out Op Phoenix and see how $150k dollars was raised to provide marines "functional fitness equipment" to do stuff like this. Or check out all the bases/fobs in Iraq and Afghanistan doing CF workouts to include kipping PU because it makes marines bigger/faster/stronger.
Or you could realize it's a different exercise. Like telling someone a push-jerk is a cheating version of a shoulder press. It's a different exercise.

Awesome effort, he isn't using a whole lot of swing in the kip either, lots of strength on display as well as huge power output. 5 out of 5.
All the haters whining have no idea what power output is, what a kipping pull-up is etc. Obviously this guy can crank out more strict deadhangs than you, probably by a factor of 2. He should do a max deadhang video in the reply just to shut morons up.

This guy is pretty good. Proper form and such is ultimately irrelevant in a rep per time contest as its soemwhat difficult to structure a proper foundation for what's considered a chinup besides going all the way down and going up till yur chin passes the bar. Personnally, I like to say I'm good at chinups but I come nowhere near to this guy. My max is 25 regular and my educated guess for the same style he does hovers around 28-29. Good job

They're called kipping pull-ups, and are more practical than standard pull-ups in my opinion. In the military I used to do standard pull-ups in my workouts, until I discovered CrossFit. Go do 30 or more kipping pull-ups in one set and come back and tell us how you feel.

Im working up to doing s as many I can do at the moment im going chin up crazy at the moment i love em!!! That pretty awesome that amount in a minute. It does state however that you cannot use any momentum with your body whilkst doing a chin up and you were pretty much using the rotation of your body to lift your self up. How many can you do with out moving your legs just going up and down. Im interested to know as even if I can get anywhere as near ill be happy!!!!

You can't use your legs, that makes it easier and you're going way to fast. I do 3 sets of 12 with 20kg weights belt with no leg movement and 20 body weight ones every time I leave the house.

These are pull ups, not chins. They are wide grips, so less of an arm movement and more kipping. And lastly, not only was he kipping (which is fine) but he was KICKING. Definitely did not meet standards for world record, and thanks again for wasting all of our time with a simply pathetic video.
